Israeli opposition leader and former Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said on Thursday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was arming a gang in southern Gaza that’s affiliated with ISIS, a charge that has been confirmed by Israeli officials.
“The Israeli government is giving weapons to a group of criminals and felons, identified with the Islamic State, at the direction of the prime minister,” Liberman said . “To my knowledge, this did not go through approval by the cabinet.”
Liberman compared the arming of the criminal gang to Netanyahu’s previous strategy of propping up Hamas as a counter to the Palestinian Authority. “No one can guarantee that these weapons will not be directed at Israel. We have no way of monitoring or tracking them,” he said.
An initial statement released by Netanyahu’s office didn’t deny the allegation. “Israel is acting to defeat Hamas in various and diverse ways, upon the recommendation of all heads of the security establishment,” the office said.
Later, Netanyahu confirmed that Israel has been arming “clans” in southern Gaza. “On the advice of security officials, we activated clans in Gaza that oppose Hamas. This is only good and saves the lives of IDF soldiers. The publication of this only benefits Hamas – but Lieberman doesn’t care,” he said, according to The Jerusalem Post.

Washington’s intervention highlights growing western rifts over Gaza and the push for Palestinian statehood
The US has privately warned Britain and France against recognising a Palestinian state at a UN conference – co-hosted by France and Saudi Arabia – set for 17 to 20 June in New York, as both countries reportedly prepare to endorse statehood.
The move is aimed at advancing the two-state solution, but is likely to provoke Israeli retaliation and reshape diplomatic alignments.
Ahead of the summit, sources in the British Foreign Office told Middle East Eye (MEE) that Washington has quietly urged both governments to drop any move toward formal recognition.
“There are no legitimate grounds for the US to interfere in a sovereign decision by Britain and France,” said Chris Doyle, director of the Council for Arab-British Understanding, who noted that while US pressure may sway Britain, it is unlikely to deter France, which is leading the push. “What really counts,” he added, “is what [US] President [Donald] Trump himself thinks.”
The warnings come amid a growing momentum in Europe and the Arab world to formalize Palestinian statehood, after over 19 months of relentless Israeli attacks on Gaza and an increasingly aggressive and accelerated illegal settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank.

Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler said in an interview published on 4 June that Ankara is advising and training Syria’s new military, stressing that it is “too early” to consider a withdrawal of its army from the country.
“We have started providing military training and consultancy services, while taking steps to increase Syria's defense capacity,” Guler said in written answers to questions from Reuters.
Guler said it is “too early to discuss possible withdrawal or relocation” of the over 20,000 Turkish troops present in Syria.
This can “only be re-evaluated when Syria achieves peace and stability, when the threat of terrorism in the region is fully removed, when our border security is fully ensured, and when the honorable return of people who had to flee is done,” he added.

A CNN investigation has linked Israeli gunfire to the deadly shooting of Palestinians in Rafah on 2 June, where at least 31 were killed and nearly 90 wounded as they sought food near the US-Israeli Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) distribution point.
Based on geolocated videos, eyewitness accounts, and ballistic analysis, the report indicates Israeli forces opened fire in sporadic bursts near a roundabout in Tal al-Sultan, some 800 meters from a militarized aid site. Israeli Strike On Christian-Run Hospital In Gaza Kills Four Journalists
The Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, which runs the hospital, condemned the attack as an 'unprovoked assault against civilians'
On Thursday, Israeli forces struck the courtyard of the al-Ahli Arab Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, killing four journalists and at least two other civilians.
The hospital is run by the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, which strongly condemned the attack in a statement that was released before a fourth journalist was declared dead.
“This morning at about 10:20 am local time, Israeli forces fired inside the compound of our al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City, killing three journalists, as well as two others, including a father who was escorting his son to our surgical unit for treatment from previous injuries,” the Diocese said.
“In addition, this unprovoked assault against civilians wounded thirty other bystanders, among them four of our hospital staff,” the statement added.
The Diocese said that it condemned the attack in the “strongest possible terms” and called on the international community to enforce Israel’s adherence to the “Fourth Geneva Convention with respect to its provisions for special protections for hospitals, medical personnel, journalists, and civilians in general.”
According to Middle East Eye, the four slain journalists have been identified as Suleiman Hajjaj and photographer Ismail Badah, who both worked for Palestine Today TV, and photographer Samir al-Rifai, who worked for the Shams News Agency, and photojournalist and video editor Moataz Muhammad Rajab, who worked for Quds Al-Youm TV.

Due to the growing humanitarian crisis in the US, Hamas has offered to mediate peace talks between Elon Musk and Donald Trump. The situation is so dire, the UN has warned of widespread hunger in Mar-a-Lago. There are disturbing reports that Trump's kids are being forced to eat the doges and cats...
... When questioned by reporters, Musk insisted that "Tesla has a right to defend itself". He then mumbled something about the White House being promised to him in a 3,000-year-old book. At that point, it became clear we are dealing with a madman.
Musk angrily rejected accusations that he is a coloniser, insisting he is a native American and it's racist to question his ethnicity. Proud of his racism, Trump is hoping to deport Musk to South Africa or maybe El Salvador, but Musk is not going anywhere without a fight.
Musk has demanded the unconditional surrender of Trump and the release of the Epstein files, plus a refund of the $290 million he spent on the US election. However, Musk might be unrealistic with his demands because his allies fear he will not survive the ketamine embargo.
The Israel-backed Trump is stalling on a peace deal, leaving many to suspect he is not interested in the release of the Epstein files and is dragging the war out to save his political career. The issue is certainly proving divisive with legal experts saying Musk's occupation of the White House is illegal, but Trump needs to lay down his fake tan and release the Epstein files.
Sir Keir Starmer said the situation is "intolerable", but has so far rejected calls to ban Tesla imports. While it is illegal to sell Cybertrucks in the UK, other Teslas are allowed, leaving many to accuse the prime minister of complicity in war crimes. Starmer has denied conducting surveillance flights for Musk, insisting the accusations are "ridiculous".
Despite the unimaginable human suffering, we have seen a staggering level of insensitivity from the terrorist-loving left. AOC was earlier arrested for mocking Trump and Musk, saying "the girls are fighting" and then laughing. Laughing. AOC's arrest was applauded by free speech warriors across the US.
