Rojava Network reports that a leaked document reveals a secret pact between Israel, Druze leaders from Suwayda, and Druze representatives from Israel, with quiet US backing. The meeting, allegedly held at the Israeli army’s Northern Command, discussed declaring Suwayda’s independence under a political model similar to Cyprus, with Israel pledging political, military, and economic support and pushing for UN recognition.

The plan includes forming a Druze-led local defense force, full logistical and intelligence support from the Israeli army, protection from HTS attacks, and investment in solar energy projects managed jointly by Israeli experts and Druze investors. Family members of Israelis who remain captive in Gaza are urging Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to agree to a ceasefire deal that has been approved by Hamas, which mediator Qatar says is “almost identical” to a version previously approved by Israel.

While the exact details are unclear, the proposal, put forward by Qatar and Egypt, would involve the release of 10 living Israeli captives and a 60-day truce, during which the two sides would be expected to engage in negotiations for a long-term ceasefire.

“We won’t let [Netanyahu] thwart it this time,” said Einav Zangauker, whose son Matan is being held in Gaza, according to Haaretz. “The entire people of Israel won’t let you miss the last chance to bring back my Matan and all of the hostages – living and dead.”

According to Israeli media, Netanyahu has dismissed Hamas’s acceptance of the proposal , although reports on Tuesday said the Israeli government is examining it. Several Israeli officials have publicly rejected the idea of any kind of deal with Hamas, including Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, and the government is preparing for a major escalation of its genocidal war that will involve taking over Gaza City and forcibly displacing more than 1 million Palestinian civilians to the south.

On Sunday, a significant number of Israelis held protests calling for a ceasefire deal, and another large demonstration is expected to happen this coming Sunday. Zangauker said that Israelis “must once again take to the streets, stop everything, demonstrate and protest.”

❗️For first time, Syrian state media announces meeting with Israeli delegation aimed at 'strengthening stability'

Syria's Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani met with an Israeli delegation in Paris to "discuss a number of issues related to strengthening stability in the region and southern Syria," according to SANA.

The talks reportedly focused on de-escalation, non-interference in Syria’s internal affairs, reaching understandings that support regional stability, monitoring the ceasefire in the Suwayda province, and reactivating the 1974 Agreement.

These discussions are taking place under US mediation.

❗️Israel blocked 7 Gaza ceasefire deals, even when Hamas agreed, Channel 13 reports

During its war on Gaza, Israel has frequently obstructed ceasefire agreements with Hamas, even when the resistance group agreed to the terms, according to Israel's Channel 13 investigative show HaMakor on Friday.

The program reported that, based on interviews with senior US and Israeli officials, Israel prevented a ceasefire deal at least seven times over nearly two years of its genocidal operations in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Officials attributed much of the responsibility to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who often yielded to pressure from far-right ministers, including Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

Syria has issued a confirmation of a meeting between its foreign minister and a close confidante of Benjamin Netanyahu in Paris, marking the first official announcement of direct talks between Damascus and Tel Aviv.

Earlier, reports had said Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani would meet with Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer in Paris.
