US Voter Support For Israel Plummets To Historic Low: Poll
Most voters reject new aid to Israel, with more siding with Palestinians than Israelis for the first time since 1998
A New York Times/Siena poll published on 30 September shows US support for Israel has collapsed, with most voters rejecting further aid and sympathies tilting toward Palestinians for the first time since 1998.
Conducted from 22–27 September, with 1,313 registered voters, the survey found broad opposition to new economic or military assistance to Tel Aviv.
Nearly two years after the 7 October 2023 Hamas operation, six in 10 respondents said Israel should end its military campaign even if hostages remained or Hamas was not eliminated.
Forty percent of those surveyed said Israel was deliberately targeting civilians, nearly double the share who agreed in the 2023 survey.
For the first time since the New York Times (NYT) began tracking voter sentiment in 1998, Palestinians now hold a slight edge in public sympathy over Israelis.

🇵🇸🇺🇸🇮🇱 Hamas: To stop the aggression, we conducted extensive consultations to reach a responsible position in dealing with Trump's plan
In a way that achieves a ceasefire and full withdrawal, we announce our agreement to release all prisoners alive and bodies according to Trump's proposal.
We confirm our readiness to enter immediately through intermediaries in negotiations to discuss all details.
We renew our approval to hand over the management of Gaza to a Palestinian authority of independents with national consensus and based on Arab Islamic support
What was mentioned in Trump's proposal about the future of the Gaza Strip and the rights of our people is linked to a national stance discussed within a comprehensive Palestinian national framework.

— 🇮🇱/🇺🇸/🇵🇸 NEW: Israeli media is in a state of 'meltdown' about the Hamas statement and Trump's post on TruthSocial
It seems that the Israelis assumed from the beginning that Hamas would reject the ceasefire proposal so that they would have an excuse to continue the genocide.

— 🇮🇱/🇺🇸/🇵🇸 What is Hamas' official position following today's agreement?
– Hamas stated its readiness for an immediate hostage release, based on the terms in the Trump plan: Releasing all Israeli hostages (dead or alive) for a total of 250 Palestinian prisoners with life sentences + thousands of other Palestinian prisoners.
– Hamas agreed to immediately enter negotiations to discuss the details of the Trump plan.
– Before prisoners are exchanged, to facilitate the exchange, a temporary ceasefire will take effect and the IDF will withdraw towards the outskirts of Gaza.
– Hamas has NOT agreed to allow an international force to rule the Gaza Strip, and emphasized that any future administration must be Palestinian-led, and must have its own weapons.
– Hamas emphasizes it will continue to play a part in decision making in Gaza and will 'contribute responsibly' to this independent Palestinian administration.
Why is this so important?
Immediately following Hamas' statement, President Trump rushed to TruthSocial to state that Hamas is 'ready for peace', signaling that Trump agrees with the group's additional demands, including an armed Palestinian administration that would rule Gaza + an immediate ceasefire during negotiations. The Israelis see this as a major concession from the American side.

Other Hebrew media confirm this, some report that officials close to Netanyahu are calling it a 'surrender agreement', because it demands an immediate ceasefire before a hostage exchange and it does not mention the disarmament of Hamas.
