The UAE-backed RSF militia reportedly massacred 460 people at a hospital in Darfur on Wednesday
Sudan has urged the UK to end arms sales to the UAE, following reports that a Dubai-backed militia accused of genocide in Darfur has been equipped with British weapons.
Sudan said in a report provided to the UN Security Council that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), an anti-government Sudanese militia, has received British small-arms targeting systems and engines for military vehicles.
Reports have surfaced in recent days of RSF militiamen massacring some 2,000 civilians in El-Fasher, after taking control of the city in the Darfur region in southwest Sudan.
Satellite imagery showed pools of blood and bodies resulting from the massacre, while videos showed RSF militants executing civilians, including a wounded man surrounded by blood-stained corpses at a Saudi-funded hospital.
The World Health Organization (WHO) cited reports claiming as many as 460 patients and staff were massacred at the hospital.

Former IDF Military Advocate-General Maj.-Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi was found alive and unharmed on Sunday evening on a beach in north Tel Aviv after a widespread search lasting hours, following a report of her disappearance, and fears were raised that she might take her own life.
The embattled top military jurist, the second woman in the IDF to hold the rank of major-general, resigned on Friday after Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened to fire her for allegedly leaking the Sde Teiman investigation video that shows soldiers using excessive force against a Palestinian terrorist in detention. She then apparently lied about not knowing the source of the leak.
“This afternoon, we received a report about a missing person with concerns for her life. With bolstered forces, we arrived in the area and deployed all the resources at our disposal – by sea, on land, and through technological means. I can say that after extensive searches, she is currently being escorted by soldiers and police officers for a physical examination, and she will be brought to us at the police station,” the Tel Aviv District Police commander stated after she was found.
Tomer-Yerushalmi’s family initially reported her disappearance, prompting the police’s search. Later in the day, the mother of three reportedly made contact with her husband and authorities brought her husband to her to talk to her, about a kilometer north of Hatzuk Beach.
Tomer-Yerushalmi expected to be interrogated for leaked video
She was expected to be interrogated regarding her admission to leaking the video of IDF soldier prison guards beating a Palestinian detainee at Sde Teiman prison last year.
She might have only been questioned in the coming days, but the latest developments may lead to unusual considerations, including the need to expedite her interrogation while she is in the safety of custody, as opposed to risking her cooperation at a future date.
For hours on Sunday, there were fears for Tomer-Yerushalmi’s life after she disappeared and her car was found abandoned, with a letter left inside.

Trump Threatens Military Intervention In Nigeria
The president said the government needs to do more to protect Christians, or he may go in 'guns-a-blazing'
President Trump on Saturday threatened military intervention in Nigeria , saying the US may go into the country “guns-a-blazing” over allegations that the government isn’t doing enough to protect Christians from Islamist militants.
“If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities,” the president wrote on Truth Social.
“I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians! WARNING: THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT BETTER MOVE FAST!” the president added.
The Nigerian government, which receives military aid from the US, said that it welcomed US support against terrorism but that the US needs to respect its “territorial integrity.” Daniel Bwala, a spokesman for Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, told Reuters that he was sure “by the time these two leaders meet and sit, there would be better outcomes in our joint resolve to fight terrorism.” He also said that the Nigerian government doesn’t “expect there to be US military action in Nigeria.”
Since 2009, the Nigerian government has been fighting against Boko Haram and its ISIS-affiliated offshoot, known as the Islamic State – West Africa Province (ISWAP), mainly in the country’s northeast.
