The freed young prisoner Ahmed Bashar Abu Alia of #Ramallah describes the moments before his freedom tonight as a result of the resistance's prisoner exchange deal.
Ahmed was wounded at the time he was imprisoned, and hugs his mother for the first time since. He says he received zero medical treatment in the prisons.
As his mother cries tears of joy, Ahmed says, "Praise be to God for the blessing of resistance."
"By Allah's will, the next war will be a war of liberation. This war is a war of liberation of prisoners, and the next will be for liberation of land."
"The last two months were extremely difficult. But it's all for the martyrs, the martyrs of Gaza and martyrs of the resistance. Praise be to Allah for the blessing of Hamas."

The forces of the traitorous Palestinian Authority attacked the political prisoners and resistance leaders Murad Malaysha and Mohammed Brahma, transferring them to the PA's Areeha prison, notorious for torture.

17-year-old freed prisoner Mohammed Nazzal of Qabatiya, #Jenin emerged from the bus with a sling on his arm after he was freed from Naqab prison today. His mother's smiles turned to tears.
Prison guards broke his arm a week ago. Moments before his release, they beat his back.
Mohammed said, "Someone in our room died. They broke my arm, my fingers. They beat my back."
"They didn't offer me any medical treatment. The Red Cross gave me this sling, not the prison services. I spent a week without treatment."
"Naqab desert prison is very difficult. The conditions of the prisoners is like death. I am young; I can handle it. The elderly prisoners can't."

"They told us we wouldn't be free. We have high confidence in the resistance that they will not leave a single prison."

After the martyrdom of my sister Inas' three children and their father, along with my aunt and her husband, and my aunt's three children and his wife, my mother lived through harsh conditions. After several days, my cousin Dr. Wasim, his wife, and daughter were martyred, and his two sons were injured. Along with them, my cousin Tariq, his wife, and son, and my aunt's daughter's husband were martyred, and 30 family members were injured.
We preferred to hide the news from my mother and forged faces of marble for ourselves, always pretending to smile. We feared the moment when we would tell her about this tragedy. On the second day of the ceasefire, what we feared happened, and my mother learned the harsh details.
Today, she asked me to take her out for a tour. Quickly, I remembered the ones who left [the martyred], who never leave her mind anyway, but she snapped out of her crying spell and asked me: “My son, did they release Ahmad Manasra?” I answered, "No because he is no longer a child," so she burst into tears again.
“I wished he would have been the first to be released. By God, I am worried about him.”
