🚨 Palestinian Ministry of Development and Social Affairs statement regarding aid to the Gaza Strip:

To our steadfast Palestinian people... To the honorable residents of Gaza:

The zionist occupation targets our people with a genocide through a systematic policy of starvation, blocking aid, attacking the foundations of steadfastness and life, fighting our people for their sustenance and their most basic legitimate rights, and imposing a suffocating siege on the Gaza Strip in a blatant and outrageous violation of laws, regulations, and international conventions. The zionist occupation wages a war of starvation and genocide to execute its plans to strike the popular cradle and the social fabric with the following:

- In the governorates of Gaza and the North, it completely prevents aid and cuts off relief supplies, targeting them if they arrive to prevent anything from reaching them that could relieve and save their lives, leading to a real famine by preventing medicine, food, milk, water, and all the essentials of living and life.

- As for the southern governorates of the Gaza Strip, aid is introduced in quantities that do not exceed 5% of the normal daily need in times of peace. In addition, these aids include trucks and convoys, the majority of which consist of (shrouds – water - Coronavirus items - clothes), while the percentage of food, medicine, tents, and living necessities for shelter is the least.

We in the Ministry of Development and Social Affairs, out of a sense of accountability, social, ethical, and national responsibility, clarify the following:

1- The percentage of aid received from the needs of the Gaza Strip does not exceed 5% at best.
2- From the period of 18-12-2023 to 10-2-2024, a total of 6,964 aid trucks arrived in the Gaza Strip.
3- The Ministry of Development and Social Affairs received a total of 1,772 trucks (25.4%), a large part of which included (Corona-related items – health items – clothes – water – shrouds).
4- The remaining 5,192 trucks, or 74.6%, went to UNRWA, international institutions, local institutions, and the Red Crescent, which constitute the larger percentage of aid and are independently managed in their disposal without interference from the Ministry of Development and Social Affairs.

With this information that we put in your hands, we assure you that we will take full ethical, social, and national responsibility towards our people and masses, as we will also address and adjust our operations according to the best mechanisms with the highest transparency and fairness, coordinating with all relief agencies to prevent redundancy, ensuring our reach to all our people in partnership with neighborhood committees and national and popular components despite the lack of resources and scarcity of aid.

We also inform you that the Ministry of Development and Social Affairs has not received any trucks for more than two weeks, except once, and in a limited manner.

We warn all parties against exploiting the current circumstances to tamper with the internal front of our people, and we affirm the engagement of our valiant resistance in confronting the brutal aggression, and the continuous targeting of all aspects of civil, security, and governmental work by the fascist occupation will not stand in the way of us from protecting our people and safeguarding our popular cradle by all means. We also call on our loyal, steadfast masses to be more vigilant and attentive, and to block any attempt to target their resilience and steadfastness, or to target its righteous members in the resistance.

The Hamas movement has worked along with all national forces and factions by all means to alleviate the suffering of our Palestinian people, stop the fascist aggression against them, meet their humanitarian needs, lift the injustice off them, affirm their presence on their land, and affirm their adherence to their rights. Our fighters, in cooperation with Saraya Al-Quds, bombed a command and control position of the enemy army in the center of Khan Younis with 120mm mortar shells.

We bombarded the enemy army's gatherings and machinery in the North Gaza sector with 120mm mortar shells.

Our fighters engaged in fierce clashes with enemy forces at the advance axes in Khan Younis city with various weapons and RPG shells.

Our fighters were able to target a quadcopter drone and seized it in the Beit Hanoun axis.

Our fighters bombarded enemy soldiers' gatherings and their machinery with 60mm standard mortar shells east of the Beit Hanoun axis.
