We, in the Hamas movement, condemn the statements made by American Secretary of State Blinken and his attempt to blame Hamas for obstucting reaching an agreement.
Blinken's statements have no connection to reality and contradict the reality that Hamas has shown flexibility more than once to facilitate reaching an agreement to stop the war of genocide and aggression against our people. We have repeatedly faced the stubbornness and procrastination of Netanyahu and his government, who place obstacles and hurdles in front of the agreement, and seek to prolong their frenzied war against our people, and the cause of the occupation's prisoners is not among their priorities.
The demands of Hamas and the resistance have been clear from the first day and are the same ones presented during last March, which were welcomed by all parties and mediators. They represent the national stance of our people and their interests in the necessity of a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of occupation forces, and the return of displaced individuals to their homes in all areas of the Strip, along with intensified relief efforts and the commencement of reconstruction.
The American role, as a full partner in the war of genocide against our people, continues to support the occupation with weapons, ammunition, and political cover, completes its hostile role against our people with false accusations against Hamas.
