Today marks the third anniversary of the Freedom Tunnel operation, carried out by six heroic prisoners in Gilboa Prison, delivering a resounding slap to the security establishment of the zionist entity and affirming our people's commitment to resisting the occupation, even if it means digging through rock with their fingernails.

This operation was, as Secretary General Commander Ziyad Nakhaleh described, a "miraculous act that ignited a new revolution and sparked gunfire across the land, which has not surrendered to the occupation." The message of willpower and determination embodied by the heroes of the Freedom Tunnel reached the hearts of the youth in the West Bank and its brigades, rekindling hope for victory over the occupation and encouraging a brave and unwavering resistance. This had a decisive role in strengthening the ranks of Al-Quds Brigades in the cities and camps of the West Bank, rallying our people around them, alongside the rest of the resistance forces and factions.

Just as the great escape from Gaza Central Prison in 1987, led by martyr Misbah Al-Souri and his brothers, marked the beginning of armed resistance against the occupation from within Palestine, the 2021 Freedom Tunnel operation similarly ignited the West Bank in defiance of the usurping occupiers, continuing the path of resistance no matter the sacrifices.

The enemy’s decision to assassinate the son of prisoner Zakaria Zubeidi, one of the heroes of the Freedom Tunnel operation, along with four of his fellow fighters in Tubas, on the eve of the third anniversary, using airpower, is an expression of the magnitude of the slap and humiliation this operation inflicted on the image of the zionist entity and its security system, whose memory they now seek to erase.

The war crimes committed by the enemy in the West Bank and Gaza will not deter our people from continuing the path of jihad and resistance. The whole world has now seen that this entity is a criminal regime, unrestrained in its perpetration of atrocities and war crimes to pursue mythical goals driven by a vile racist mentality.

We stand in reverence as we salute the heroes of the Freedom Tunnel operation, whom the enemy continues to punish with criminal measures, including solitary confinement and denial of visits over the past three years. We send all our greetings to the heroic prisoners: Commander Mahmoud Al-Aridah, Mohammed Al-Aridah, Yaqoub Qadri, Ayham Kamamji, Munadil Nafi'at, and Zakaria Zubeidi, and to all the steadfast prisoners in the occupation’s prisons, who have neither weakened nor given in. The steadfastness and struggles of the prisoners are the fuel from which our resistance draws its strength, steadfastness, and determination until the occupation is driven out and our land and homeland are liberated.

A people whose prisoners were able to dig through rock in Gilboa is a people that cannot be broken... and will be victorious!
