The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement offering condolences to the leadership of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine following the martyrdom of its Political Bureau member Mohammed Abdel Aal and several of his comrades in a heinous crime committed by the occupation forces in the Cola area of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The DFLP stated that the martyrdom of comrade Mohammed Abdel Aal, along with his comrades, during the ongoing confrontation with the fascist occupation machine, reaffirms the blood-bound unity in the struggle between the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples and their resistance in the face of the same enemy. This enemy represents a colonial, fascist-imperialist American-zionist project aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause and subjugating the peoples of the region and their liberation forces. We mourn to the masses of our Palestinian people in Lebanon and within, the martyrdom of Commander Fateh Sharif (Abu Al-Amin), the leader of Hamas in Lebanon, along with his wife, the martyred teacher Umayya Ibrahim Abdel Hamid, his martyred son Amin Fateh Sharif, and his martyred daughter Wafaa Fateh Sharif, on the path to Al-Quds, following a hateful terrorist airstrike that targeted their home in Al-Bass Camp, southern Lebanon, at dawn today.
