O sons of our Arab and Islamic nation and the free people of the world,

The 37th anniversary of the jihadist launch of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine comes upon us, coinciding with the first anniversary of the glorious Al-Aqsa Flood battle. Our Palestinian people live between two scenes: one of a genocidal war waged by the criminal zionist enemy, supported by the American and Western killing machine, shedding the blood of our children and women, destroying our mosques, schools, and hospitals, violating our sanctities, and tormenting our brave prisoners—all in full view of the world—in one of the most destructive, murderous, barbaric, and criminal wars the world has ever known; and another scene, one of steadfastness, heroism, and jihad, fighting with faith, unwavering will, and the determination of heroes against this brutal, criminal war machine. The steadfastness of our people has astonished the world and continues to do so, as they defend their land, homeland, and sanctities, firmly believing in their deep-rooted faith and great principles.

For a whole year, despite all the wounds, pains, and suffering—unparalleled in the modern world—and despite the martyrdom of tens of thousands, the disappearance of an equal number, and many times more wounded, our people continue to resist the most criminal, extremist, and hateful zionist government, armed with the deadliest weapons known to mankind. This has only increased our people's faith, resilience, and resolve. They have not been terrorized by all forms of Western support for the murderous nazi entity, nor by the betrayal of nearby nations, some of whom have aided in tightening the siege on them. Nor have they been shaken by the poisoned tongues that question their resistance and steadfastness while opening their ports, roads, airspaces, and oil fields to the usurping entity to complete its sinful aggression.

Thirty-seven years ago, the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine was launched, placing at its forefront the confrontation with the zionist project in Palestine, which is the spearhead of the Western colonial project, its poisonous dagger, and its advanced military fortress in the heart of our nation. We have always believed, and still do, that the struggle in and around Palestine is a struggle over the future and identity of the nation, and that the clash with the zionist entity in Palestine is a clash with the entire Western system.

Given the current reality, everyone now realizes that the ongoing battle in Palestine is a battle over our entire region for decades to come. It is either us, the rightful owners of the land, or them, the usurping occupiers, on this land.

Therefore, we emphasize the following:

First: We, in the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, reaffirm our commitment to armed resistance as the only way to confront the zionist project and liberate our land. We have fought many battles, from the Battle of Al-Shuja’iyya, the Great Escape from Gaza Central Prison in 1987, to the First Intifada in 1987, through major operations in Beit Lid and others, leading to the Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000 with its major and distinctive operations crowned by the great Battle of Jenin in 2002, to confronting the attacks on Gaza after forcing the enemy to withdraw from it in 2005, the Freedom Tunnel operation in 2021, and the battles fought by our brigades in the West Bank, which deeply pained and wounded the enemy, including the Battle of the Fury of Jenin, the Unity of the Fields Battle in 2022, the Revenge of the Free Battle in 2023, and culminating in our active and strong participation in the Al-Aqsa Flood battle. Today, we affirm that we will remain loyal to the souls of our people's martyrs and the brave martyrs of our movement and its leaders, and we will continue our fight until victory over the zionist project and its expulsion from our land.

Second: We affirm that the Al-Aqsa Flood battle was the natural response to the enemy's policies, arrogance, and attempts to marginalize, erase, and end the Palestinian cause. What happened on October 7, 2023, was the result of the continuous siege policy against our people for 18 years, while the world stood idly by—some even conspiring against them—planning to displace the remaining of our people from our land, judaize our sanctities, foremost of which is Al-Aqsa Mosque, annex the West Bank, and erase the refugee issue. The Al-Aqsa Flood battle obliterated all attempts to marginalize our cause, erase our rights, and displace our people, bringing the conflict with the zionist enemy back to square one and placing the zionist entity in an existential crisis from which it sees no escape except through continued killing, its deception and falsehood exposed to the entire world.

Third: Despite all the pain and sacrifices, we see that our people's steadfastness and resistance have unmasked the hidden agendas and exposed undeniable truths: the zionist aggression on Gaza was not a response to the Al-Aqsa Flood battle but was a premeditated plan aimed at achieving the illusion of "Greater 'israel'" and imposing dominance over the entire region under the so-called "New Middle East." This has been openly stated by the enemy’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and members of his government. The criminal actions of his army in the systematic destruction of Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and large parts of Lebanon reveal this agenda. Blaming the resistance in Gaza for the destruction and loss of life caused by the crimes of the zionist enemy is a moral collapse, intellectual foolishness, and a distortion of the truth. The massacres committed by the enemy's government and army aim to bring about demographic and strategic changes to serve the project of dominance over our entire region.

Fourth: We extend greetings to our brothers who supported the steadfastness of our people and have not abandoned their support for our resistance and cause, in southern Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and the Islamic Republic of Iran. On this occasion, we offer a special tribute to the soul of His Eminence, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, may God have mercy on him, who gave his life in loyalty to his commitment to Palestine and its resistance as his cause. We also salute the Islamic Republic of Iran, its people, leadership, and government, for the support it provides to the Palestinian people, and we praise the strong stance declared by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, His Eminence Sayyed Ali Khamenei, may Allah preserve him, in his eulogy for Sayyed Nasrallah.

Fifth: We condemn the betrayal of the Arab states and regimes that have normalized relations with the enemy, not only abandoning our people, failing to suspend agreements, or expel ambassadors but also preventing their people from expressing solidarity with our cause. Some even participated in the enemy’s plans by tightening the siege on our people, opening supply routes for the entity, lifting the siege on it, and providing various forms of support. We urge the Arab and Islamic peoples to break free from these restraints and reclaim their dignity after these regimes have shackled them with agreements of surrender, humiliation, and shame under the guise of normalization, which is, in essence, an acknowledgment of the occupier’s illegitimate claim.

Sixth: We condemn the silence of international institutions, foremost the UN Security Council and the International Court of Justice, for their failure to issue resolutions to stop the genocide and massacres committed by the zionist enemy in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon, and the attacks on the Yemeni and Iraqi peoples. We also condemn the International Criminal Court for failing to issue arrest warrants for war criminals within the entity.

Seventh: We extend greetings to all the free people of the world who have supported the cause of our people and raised their voices in protest against the killing and massacres carried out by the enemy under the supervision of the criminal U.S. administration.

Eighth: We affirm our field coordination with our brothers in Hamas and all resistance forces, and our full coordination regarding the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza. We stand firm on our positions, particularly the comprehensive ceasefire, complete withdrawal from Gaza, opening of the crossings, lifting of the siege, and the introduction of relief supplies, leading to a prisoner exchange deal and reconstruction efforts.

On the anniversary of our launch, we salute the souls of our martyrs and leaders, foremost among them the martyred founder Dr. Fathi Shaqaqi and Dr. Ramadan Abdullah Shalah. We also salute our brave prisoners and our wounded.

We reaffirm our commitment to resistance as the only path to confronting zionist crimes, and we are fully confident that the fate of this zionist entity is near extinction, and that the resistance forces of our nation will be the ones to write the history of our region.

🚨 Civil Defense in Gaza (1/2):

"Civil Defense" after a year of continuous war against our people in Gaza

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the best of martyrs and messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and all his family and companions...

We extend our greetings to the Palestinian people in Gaza for their patience and steadfastness throughout a full year of "israeli" war.

We salute the heroes of the Civil Defense who work tirelessly day and night, never wavering in their responsibilities and their national, religious, and moral duties toward their people. We also extend our appreciation to our humanitarian service partners across all fields.

After a year of continuous war on Gaza, we confirm that the Civil Defense is operating at full capacity, which amounts to only 20% of its original capabilities. This is due to the "israeli" occupation deliberately targeting Civil Defense facilities, vehicles, and personnel during their duties. This led to the complete or partial destruction of 52 vehicles of various types and the martyrdom of 85 personnel, with 292 others injured.

The "israeli" occupation has completely destroyed 11 firefighting and rescue vehicles, 2 rapid intervention rescue vehicles, 4 water tanker trucks, 8 ambulances, one hydraulic ladder vehicle, and 12 administrative vehicles. This confirms that the occupation forces are deliberately hindering humanitarian work and interventions aimed at saving lives and protecting property.

Additionally, 7 fire trucks have sustained damage that can be repaired if the necessary support and spare parts are provided. Also, 3 rescue vehicles, 3 ambulances, and one water tanker truck were damaged and can be restored to service if the occupation allows the entry of appropriate spare parts for repairs.

The continued disregard by the international community and humanitarian organizations has emboldened the "israeli" occupation to intensify its targeting of our resources and personnel. Our facilities and teams were directly targeted 6 times, and our teams were attacked while performing their duties on the scene 14 times.

Over 47% of our teams have been physically endangered, and all of them have suffered psychological harm due to losing family members or their homes.

Since the start of the war, our teams have carried out operations equivalent to 40 years of work based on response time and control, compared to their usual work before the war.

During the genocide, the Civil Defense received 90,000 emergency calls and responded to over 75,000 of them, resulting in more than 260,000 tasks, including rescues, evacuations, medical care, firefighting, and retrieving the bodies of martyrs.

However, our teams were unable to respond to over 15,600 emergency calls due to numerous obstacles and difficulties imposed by the "israeli" occupation.

Over the course of the year-long genocide, our teams, accompanied by medical teams, retrieved 37,210 martyrs from homes, streets, and targeted areas. The occupation has hindered the recovery of thousands of bodies still trapped under the rubble.

🚨 Civil Defense in Gaza (2/2):

After a year of this devastating war, we affirm the following:

The continued international neglect in providing necessary support to the Civil Defense in Gaza will severely reduce our ability to respond to emergency calls from citizens. Our teams have been unable to respond to many of these calls due to fuel shortages and the lack of essential Civil Defense equipment. The occupation forces also deliberately block and hinder our access to areas they have invaded by closing streets and exits.

Civil Defense teams and humanitarian service providers in Gaza have faced immense challenges since the start of this war, and the evasion of responsibility by international institutions has exacerbated these challenges and difficulties.

We demand the provision of spare parts for Civil Defense equipment and vehicles, so we can repair damaged equipment and vehicles and allow our humanitarian intervention teams to continue their work.

We call for protection for Civil Defense personnel while carrying out their humanitarian duties and for the occupation to stop targeting our already worn-out vehicles and equipment.

We urge the world to pressure the occupation to allow the entry of urgent equipment for the Civil Defense of all types so that we can fulfill our duty amid the ongoing aggression and continuous bombardment across Gaza.

We demand the entry of heavy machinery to help clear the rubble of homes and structures to retrieve the bodies of over 10,000 martyrs still under the debris. These martyrs are not included in the official statistics of casualties from the aggression.

We demand the entry of the necessary quantities of fuel for Civil Defense vehicles, as we have often been unable to reach targeted areas due to fuel shortages, which has led to the martyrdom of hundreds of injured individuals who could not receive the necessary medical care.
