An interesting element of the past week is it's revealed the tech right is not a political monolith. The Thiel right, represented by Sam Hyde/Red Scare, is showing open opposition to the Vivek right, while the Andreessen right has stayed conspicuously silent. Andreessen's relative silence could even be interpreted as tacit support of the anti-H1B crowd because as a detached observer you can predict from the start that the tone deaf autists are going to get culturally smashed here.

The center right has lost the ability to use racist, or "woke right" or "DEI for white people" as insults because the center right has been able to gain influence only through the right absorbing those arrows and shielding the center right from them for years. Patrick Bet-David would have been cancelled in 2016 for doing his 2024 podcast as racist, now wants to deploy racist to cancel his critics.

To his credit Thiel more or less did build out an antifragile cultural space that's cultivated a list of personalities to grow in influence, and has created a space certainly for at least economic right wing thought, and that's also at least tolerated the trappings of white nationalism on an aesthetic level.
Andreessen recently mentioned in an interview that financial power means nothing compared to political power, which was both surprising to hear him say and also correct. Since his pivot to right wing politics he's mostly taken the posture of being a polite guest who is satisfied to be made welcome and will be quiet until he has the opportunity to weigh in on a niche issue he has a lot of knowledge about. Regardless of his political intentions this is politically intelligent to do.
Musk almost from his introduction has taken on this attitude of "I'm the King" which regardless of politics, by itself is a pretty significant blunder because he has never been king, only a minor aristocrat. It's made worse by being deficient in charisma compared to the people immediately around him, and being prone to sperging out and spilling spaghetti. If you want to take that posture you need Elvis level charisma, Elon is nowhere close.
