Novos e chocantes detalhes vieram à tona sobre os dois anos de cativeiro de Elkana Bohbot e Avinatan Or, sequestrados por terroristas do Hamas durante o Festival de Música Nova, em 7 de outubro de 2023. Ambos suportaram um sofrimento inimaginável na Faixa de Gaza.

1.Elkana Bohbot foi mantido em um túnel subterrâneo do Hamas, acorrentado e isolado na escuridão durante todo o período de cativeiro. Ele passou quase dois anos sem ver a luz do dia, completamente desconectado do mundo acima.

2.Enquanto estava em cativeiro, Elkana chegou a ver na televisão sua família pedindo por sua libertação — um lembrete doloroso da vida da qual foi arrancado.

3.Nos dias que antecederam sua libertação, o Hamas forçou os reféns a comer em excesso, ignorando alertas médicos israelenses de que isso poderia ser fatal após longos períodos de fome. Como resultado, Elkana sofre com fortes dores estomacais, além de dores nas pernas e nas costas, causadas pelos anos preso em correntes.

4.Avinatan Or, por sua vez, foi mantido completamente sozinho na Faixa de Gaza durante dois anos. Nunca encontrou outro refém, vivendo em isolamento total e sob fome extrema nas mãos de seus sequestradores.

5.Exames médicos iniciais mostram que Avinatan perdeu entre 30% e 40% do peso corporal durante o cativeiro — ele foi deliberadamente privado de comida.

6.Esses relatos expõem a tortura sistemática e a desumanização que o Hamas impôs a civis inocentes por quase dois anos.

7.A coragem e a sobrevivência de Elkana e Avinatan são um testemunho da força do espírito humano, mas o sofrimento que enfrentaram é uma acusação devastadora da brutalidade do Hamas.

Just two days after being released from over two years in Hamas captivity in Gaza, Matan Angrest attended the funeral of his tank commander, Captain Daniel Perez (22).

Daniel was killed and then kidnapped on October 7, 2023, while courageously defending southern Israel from Hamas terrorists who infiltrated the border.

Matan, Daniel, Tomer Leibovitz, and Itay Chen fought side by side that day, a tank crew bound by bravery and brotherhood. Tomer, Daniel, and Itay were killed in the massacre. Itay, an American-Israeli, remains held hostage in Gaza. On October 13, Daniel was returned to Israel and today he was laid to rest.
