StandWithUs UK understands but is deeply concerned by the shocking reality that Maccabi Tel Aviv has been forced to decide to prevent its fans from attending a football match in the very heart of world football, the United Kingdom, following an admission by local authorities that they cannot ensure their safety.

No football club should ever have to choose between passion for the game and the personal safety of its supporters.

This moment should trouble every British citizen. It is not merely an issue for Israelis or the Jewish community. When the authorities of a leading British city admit that they cannot protect football supporters from a mob encouraged by extreme and marginal politicians, something has gone seriously wrong.

Football, one of Britain’s proudest traditions, is meant to unite people, not divide them. The decision by Maccabi Tel Aviv reflects responsibility and care for its fans, yet it exposes a failure by those charged with upholding law and order.We are proud to have mobilised more than 15,000 signatures within 72 hours calling for the police ban to be overturned. This public response shows that the British public stands for fairness, equality, and safety for all.

It is a dark day for British democracy when fear triumphs over freedom, and when victims are treated as the problem instead of being protected from it.

A Picture We Waited More Than Two Years For: Matan Zangauker and Ilana Gritzewsky, both kidnapped from southern Israel, are finally reunited. Matan was held captive by Hamas in Gaza for two years and released on October 13, 2025. Ilana was kidnapped on October 7, 2023, and released in November 2023 as part of the ceasefire hostage release deal.

At last, they can live their lives together. They are pictured together again, and we wish this couple only healing and happiness as they begin this new chapter.
