RT @AndreLajst: Ontem (19) à noite, cerca de 200 manifestantes anti-sionistas se reuniram em frente à Sinagoga Park East, em Nova York, para protestar contra um evento da Nefesh B’Nefesh, organização que auxilia judeus a imigrar para Israel. Durante o ato, o grupo entoou gritos como “Morte às IDF” (Forças de Defesa de Israel) e “Não queremos sionistas aqui”. A manifestação incluiu também slogans como “De Nova York a Gaza, globalizem a intifada”.

Segundo o Times of Israel, líderes da mobilização chegaram a afirmar: “É nosso dever fazer com que eles pensem duas vezes antes de realizar esses eventos. Precisamos deixá-los com medo”. Do outro lado da rua, um grupo menor de judeus organizou uma contra-manifestação, separado por policiais e cercas metálicas.

Durante o protesto, manifestantes dirigiram ofensas hostis contra a comunidade judaica: um homem com quipá foi chamado de “parte de um culto da morte”, enquanto outros disseram que os judeus eram “racistas, pedófilos e violadores”. Mesmo com toda a agitação externa, o evento da Nefesh B’Nefesh dentro da sinagoga seguiu seu curso normalmente, com sua equipe recebendo os participantes na porta de entrada.

A manifestação acontece num contexto mais amplo de preocupações com o aumento de episódios antissemitas em Nova York. Um dos motivos de tensão é a eleição do prefeito Zohran Mamdani, que se nega a condenar discursos considerados antissemitas, como pedidos pela globalização da Intifada.

A produtora Holding Entretenimento & Networking cancelou o show de Kanye West (Ye) em São Paulo após a Prefeitura revogar a autorização para uso do Autódromo de Interlagos. O evento estava marcado para 29 de novembro e, segundo os organizadores, todas as despesas já haviam sido pagas, tornando a decisão “surpreendente” e unilateral.

O prefeito Ricardo Nunes justificou o veto afirmando que Kanye West já fez apologia ao nazismo e que a cidade não permitiria que alguém com esse histórico se apresentasse em um equipamento público. “Em espaço público, ninguém que faça apologia ao nazismo vai cantar nem uma palavra”, declarou.

A polêmica tem relação direta com episódios em que Kanye West divulgou teorias conspiratórias antissemitas e fez elogios a Hitler, chegando a compor uma música em homenagem ao ditador nazista, responsável pelo genocídio de seis milhões de judeus durante o Holocausto. Esses escândalos o tornaram um símbolo global da normalização do discurso extremista. Vários ataques antissemitas com menções diretas ao rapper foram registrados nos EUA nos últimos anos.

A StandWithUs Brasil se manifestou desde o início contra a realização do show, alertando para os riscos que ele oferecia não apenas à comunidade judaica, mas a toda a sociedade brasileira. A Prefeitura de São Paulo agiu de maneira adequada ao tratar o caso como uma questão de segurança institucional e proteção dos direitos humanos, reforçando que a cidade não deve servir de palco para artistas que propagam ideias que remetam ao nazismo ou ao ódio contra minorias.

Há 41 anos, em 21 de novembro de 1984, teve início a “Operação Moisés”, que durou até 5 de janeiro de 1985, resgatando 8 mil judeus etíopes e levando-os a Israel. Foi a maior missão desse tipo, seguida pela “Operação Josué”, em 1985, e pela “Operação Salomão”, realizada em 24 e 25 de maio de 1991.

Parte da história da “Operação Moisés” é retratada no filme “Missão no Mar Vermelho”, da Netflix.

Antes dessas missões de resgate, os judeus etíopes precisavam fazer uma jornada longa e perigosa a pé até Israel. Isso serve como um lembrete da importância do país para os judeus espalhados por todo o mundo.

A University College London (UCL), no Reino Unido, expulsou uma pesquisadora após ela ensinar a estudantes uma calúnia medieval antissemita conhecida como "libelo de sangue", a falsa acusação de que judeus usariam sangue de crianças não judias em rituais. O caso contra Samar Maqusi veio à tona após uma gravação de áudio divulgada pela StandWithUs Uk.

Durante a apresentação, Maqusi descreveu o Caso de Damasco, de 1840, afirmando que um padre desapareceu durante uma “festa judaica” e que judeus teriam usado seu sangue no matzá da Páscoa judaica — uma narrativa que qualquer historiador sério sabe ser falsa.

O reitor, Michael Spence, afirmou estar “profundamente consternado” e pediu desculpas à comunidade judaica pelo ocorrido, reforçando ainda: "O antissemitismo não tem absolutamente nenhum lugar em nossa universidade". O grupo estudantil responsável pelo evento está suspenso.
