"Who is it that has made brothers spill each other's blood? For centuries kings and nobles have sent Polish peasants to fight the Turks. They have always incited one nation against another. Think of all the bloodshed and misery they have caused! And who benefited by it all? But soon all that will stop. This is the end of those vermin. The Bolsheviks have flung out a slogan that strikes terror into the hearts of the bourgeoisie: 'Proletarians of all lands, unite!' There lies our salvation, there lies our hope for a better future, for the day when all workingmen will be brothers. Comrades, join the Communist Party!"

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico:
.
Let’s say we give Ukraine 50 billion euros for four years. We will give more tanks, more planes, more weapons. And in three years we will stand here in the same way and declare that 50 billion euros have been spent, and on each side there are 100 thousand more dead soldiers, and no one will move forward.
The Russians will continue their control over Donetsk and Lugansk. Of course, they will not leave Crimea, but Russia's position in the negotiations will improve. We will tell the truth, we will call a spade a spade, we will say that none of this works, let's find some other method of solving this problem. But if someone thinks that we will invest 50 billion, send hundreds of new weapons and decide something, then we will not solve anything, we will simply guarantee the death of another 200 thousand people who are there.
And we don't agree with all the nonsense that comes out of the major countries. Since the beginning of the conflict, a truce could be concluded twice. But the West forbade the Ukrainian political leadership from concluding a truce with Russia at the beginning of the war because it hoped that after pouring billions and weapons into Ukraine, it would deliver the wounded Russian bear on a platter. It didn't work.
