Leonid Aleksandrovich Govorov , a Soviet military leader, was born on February 22, 1897. Hero of the Soviet Union. Five Orders of Lenin, Order of Victory, Three Orders of the Red Banner, Two Orders of Suvorov, 1st degree.
Govorov was the only Soviet marshal to serve in the White Army of Kolchak after he was connoscripted into it. He later defected to the Red Army in 1919 and fought as an artilleryman for the rest of the civil war. In the Great Patriotic War he commanded the defence of Leningrad when it was besieged by the fascist forces.

Balashova disguised boxes with equipment as a sofa and a “sideboard” with a bookshelf, and came up with a system for attaching objects to fabric surfaces with Velcro. After the Soyuz-Apollo mission, American cosmonauts compared the Soviet spacecraft to a room in a good hotel.
