Did you know the US dropped more bombs on Vietnam than were dropped by all sides during the entire Second World War? Did you also know that Vietnam’s communist guerrillas brought the world’s largest army to its knees anyway?

On this day in 1965, the US began the operation; Vietnam was a country divided into the communist North, led by the revolutionary Ho Chi Minh, and the US-occupied South. Communist troops were organized into the People’s Army of Vietnam (PAVN) and the Viet Cong, the underground guerrilla front active in South Vietnam.

Vietnam’s communist forces used effective tactics like hit-and-run attacks and ambushes. In addition, they used complex underground tunnel systems to transport ammunition, retreat, and penetrate deep behind enemy lines.

Their success also came with immense sacrifice, suffering huge losses as the US behaved with cruelty, dropping 20 million gallons of chemical weapons during the war. Up to 3 million Vietnamese lost their lives, mostly civilians.

⚖️ Google's colonial-era tactics spark controversy in 🇮🇳Indian business landscape

"Google Play presents another challenge for Indian app start-ups. While it offers access to a vast user base, it also gives Google control over app distribution and discovery. This can lead to issues with app visibility, monetization, and revenue sharing," said Prof (Dr) Nishakant Ojha, an expert on geo-political and counter terrorism, on Tuesday.

🇮🇳Indian tech companies can employ strategies like innovation, collaboration, regulatory advocacy, investment, and international expansion to compete effectively, he added.

"Depending on the degree to which Google uses its market dominance to dominate markets, suppress competition, and hurt customers, it will determine whether or not its actions qualify as dictatorial. To solve these issues and keep the playing field equal in the digital economy, regulatory oversight and legal action are necessary," said Manish Rawat, an analyst at the tech advisory firm Tech Insights on Tuesday.

📱Through concerted efforts, India can strengthen its position in the global tech landscape and reap the benefits of a thriving digital economy, he noted.

US-based tech giant Google appeared on the radar of several Indian start-ups after it delisted at least 250 apps by Indian developers from Play Market, citing "non-compliance of payment policy.

🎙🎥PAUL ROBESON LOVED SOVIET UNION

A famous African-American athlete, singer, actor, and civil rights activist, Robeson rose to prominence at a time when segregation was legal in the United States, and Black people were being lynched by racist mobs, especially in the South.

He visited the Soviet Union in 1934 and said this about his experience in the USSR:

"Here I am not a Negro but a human being for the first time in my life ... I walk in full human dignity."

"In order to renovate our state apparatus we must at all costs set out, first, to learn, secondly, to learn, and thirdly, to learn, and then see to it that learning shall not remain a dead letter, or a fashionable catch-phrase (and we should admit in all frankness that this happens very often with us), that learning shall really become part of our very being, that it shall actually and fully become a constituent element of our social life. In short, we must not make the demands that were made by bourgeois Western Europe, but demands that are fit and proper for a country which has set out to develop into a socialist country."

- Lenin. 'Better fewer, but better.' 1926

Just a reminder that Israel has no respect for human life. They are not just fighting against an enemy. They are willing to smear, attack or even kill anyone who gets in the way of their reactionary ideology.
The west will continue to arm and fund Israel no matter what they have done as long as they continue to act as the Imperialists attack dog in the middle east.
