On 17 April 1920, dockers in Dublin refused to load foodstuffs destined for England.
The action helped relieve severe food shortages in Dublin, which had been dire since 1917 with many staple goods like butter, eggs and sugar almost unavailable while huge quantities of food were shipped to Britain.

As a result of an enemy drone attack in the Zaporozhye direction, Izvestia correspondent Semyon Eremin was killed.
He worked a lot in the Donetsk People's Republic, talked about people's lives and the course of the military conflict.
One of the first, together with Russian units, entered Mariupol, Volnovakha, showed life on the front line, and moved forward with the soldiers.
It's hard to comprehend what happened. Deep condolences to Semyon's family and friends.
Everlasting memory…
