"I honor #Lenin as a man who completely sacrificed himself and devoted all his energy to the realization of social justice, one thing is certain: men of his type are the guardians and restorers of humanity."

🇰🇵📸CAN YOU REALLY FILM IN NORTH KOREA?🚨🎙

There is a common myth that photography is completely prohibited in DPRK, but this is not accurate.

Take a look at the footage our editor-in-chief, Donald Courter, was able to record and listen to his experience in Pyongyang.

The elements of democratic and socialist culture, are present, if only in rudimentary form, in every national culture since in every nation there are toiling and exploited masses, whose condition of life inevitably gives rise to the ideology of democracy and socialism.
But every nation also possesses a bourgeois culture (and most nations a reactionary and clerical culture as well) in the form not merely of “elements”, but of the dominant culture ... In advancing this slogan of ’the international culture of democracy and of the world working class movement’ we take from each national culture only its democratic and socialist elements, we take them only and absolutely in opposition to the bourgeois culture and the bourgeois nationalism of each nation.’

Lenin, Critical Remarks on the National Question, Collected Works, Vol.20, 1913

The more I look into the Soviet "dissidents" of the 1920s and 1930s the more the naked class hatred pours out of them in their writings. Their US handlers massaged this a bit more in the post 1945 period but it still comes down to the same thing. The old ruling class and those who adopt bourgeois ideology feel "insulted" because they lived in a country that valued the farmer, steel worker, train driver or cleaner as much as the "intellectual".

“You can’t do it without us,” the intellectuals who are accustomed to serving the capitalists and the capitalist state console themselves. Their arrogant calculation will not be justified: educated people are already standing out, going over to the side of the people, to the side of the working people, helping to break the resistance of the servants of capital. But there are many organizational talents in the peasantry and working class, and these talents are just beginning to recognize themselves, to awaken, to reach out to lively, creative, great work, to take on the task of building a socialist society on their own."

- Lenin
