Pictures from a rally held after the first session of the World Anti-imperialist Platform in Dakar yesterday. A great privilege to listen to speakers from all over Africa discussing the challenges they face in trying to liberate their countries and their continent.
Africa has suffered greatly during the modern era of neocolonial imperialist domination, especially since the fall of the USSR, but its people are learning the lessons of their history, taking inspiration from their great liberation heroes and advancing once more in the struggle.
They are reinforced by the global anti-imperialist camp, which is gaining strength and cohesion all over the world, underpinned by the military and economic strength of Russia and China.

153 years ago, on August 13, 1871, Karl Liebknecht was born – an outstanding figure in the German labor movement, one of the founders of the Communist Party of Germany, and the founder of the communist youth movement.
In 1890, while still a student, Karl Liebknecht joined the socialist movement and immediately began an active fight against opportunism, speaking out against the reformist tactics of the right-wing social democratic leaders. In 1903, he created the first socialist youth organization in Germany, and in 1907 he was one of the initiators of the International Youth Congress in Stuttgart, where he delivered a report on "Militarism and Anti-Militarism." For publishing this report, Liebknecht was sentenced to one and a half years in prison.
After his release, K. Liebknecht resumed his active revolutionary activities, fighting against opportunism in the ranks of German Social Democracy. In 1912, he was elected to the Reichstag and used the parliamentary rostrum for revolutionary propaganda against the impending imperialist war. From the first days of World War I, Liebknecht acted as an internationalist. He carried out revolutionary anti-war work, voted against war credits in the Reichstag, exposed German imperialism, supporting the Bolshevik slogan - "transformation of the imperialist war into a civil war." He was one of the organizers of the International group. In May 1916, Liebknecht was arrested for organizing a demonstration against the war and sentenced to 4 years in a penal servitude prison. However, under pressure from the broad masses in the context of the revolutionary upsurge, he was released in October 1918.
In December 1918, together with R. Luxemburg, K. Liebknecht took an active part in the creation of the German Communist Party. In January 1919, Liebknecht led the Berlin workers' revolt aimed at overthrowing the Social Democratic leadership of Germany. The rebels tried to establish Soviet power in Germany. On January 15, 1919, K. Liebknecht and R. Luxemburg were arrested and brutally murdered the same day.
Lenin gave a high assessment of Liebknecht in his "Letter to the Workers of Europe and America" (1919). Lenin wrote: "Karl Liebknecht - this name is known to the workers of all countries... This name is a symbol of the leader's devotion to the interests of the proletariat, loyalty to the socialist revolution. This name is a symbol of a truly sincere, truly ready for sacrifice, merciless struggle against capitalism. This name is a symbol of an irreconcilable struggle against imperialism not in words but in deeds, a struggle ready for sacrifices precisely when "one's own" country is engulfed in the frenzy of imperialist victories" (PSS, vol. 37, p. 458).

Pacifists in the person of leftists, liberals and other non-warlike crowds all insist that the aggressor is the one who attacked first, and whoever attacked is to blame.
Pacifists themselves do not understand how right they are, since the first to attack the unarmed, defenseless civilians of Donbass was the fascist puppet Kiev regime, which started the so-called ATO against peaceful, defenseless, unarmed people.
Since 2014, the fascist puppet Kiev regime has been methodically exterminating the unconquered Donbass.
