Writing about the genocide taking place in Palestine seems the most obvious thing in the world to do. That other people do not think so confounds and depresses me

Unlike the anarchists, the Marxists recognise struggle for reforms, i.e., for measures that improve the conditions of the working people without destroying the power of the ruling class. At the same time, however, the Marxists wage a most resolute struggle against the reformists, who, directly or indirectly, restrict the aims and activities of the working class to the winning of reforms. Reformism is bourgeois deception of the workers, who, despite individual improvements, will always remain wage-slaves, as long as there is the domination of capital.

Lenin never regarded the Republic of Soviets as an end in itself. He always looked on it as an essential link for strengthening the revolutionary movement in the countries of the West and the East, an essential link for facilitating the victory of the working people of the whole world over capitalism. Lenin knew that this was the only right conception, both from the international standpoint and from the standpoint of preserving the Republic of Soviets itself. Lenin knew that this alone could fire the hearts of the working people of the whole world with determination to fight the decisive battles for their emancipation. That is why, on the very morrow of the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat, he, the greatest of the geniuses who have led the proletariat, laid the foundation of the workers’ International. That is why he never tired of extending and strengthening the union of: the working people of the whole world — the Communist International.

All that's left of the piano factory 🎹
In 1961, on the outskirts of Vyshny Volochok, behind the flax mill, construction of the Piano factory began. The customer for the construction was the Vyshny Volochok Furniture Factory.
In 1962, the best specialists were sent to Leningrad to the Krasny Oktyabr factory to study the technology of assembling, adjusting and finishing pianos. After 4-6 months of theoretical and practical training, the first 8 pianos were assembled at the furniture factory's production facilities. The factory also produced cases for button accordions, bayans and guitars.
After the collapse of the Union, the Piano factory was reorganized into Kamerton OJSC, but did not work for long. Already in 2005, it was declared bankrupt and closed forever.
The production facilities are now rented out, but the administrative buildings have long been abandoned. Now the only evidence of the former scale of production is old black-and-white photographs scattered across the floor.
