Consumer goods have indeed been produced in smaller quantities than necessary, and this creates certain difficulties. But then we must know and realize what such a policy of pushing industrialization tasks into the background would lead us to. Of course, we could have set aside half of the one and a half billion rubles of currency spent during this period on equipment for our heavy industry for importing cotton, leather, wool, rubber, etc. We would then have had more calico, footwear, and clothing. But we would then have had neither a tractor nor an automobile industry, we would have had no serious ferrous metallurgy, we would have had no metal for the production of machines, and we would have been defenseless in the face of a capitalist encirclement armed with new technology.

Israeli soldiers admitted to Haaretz that they shot and killed 8-months-pregnant Sundus Shalabi in Nour Shams camp because she "got out of the vehicle and looked at the ground suspiciously."

Haaretz cited accounts from the soldiers involved, who stated that Shalabi exited a vehicle and looked at the ground in a manner they deemed unusual before opening fire.

The production relations of capitalist society approach more and more the production relations of socialist society. But on the other hand, its political and juridical relations established between capitalist society and socialist society a steadily rising wall. This wall is not overthrown, but is on the contrary strengthened and consolidated by the development of social reforms and the course of democracy.
