What was it that motivated the core group of revisionists around Khruschev to denounce and try to destroy the legacy of Stalin? Their motivations were, of course, myriad but the core of it comes down to the revisionists being pro-bourgeois elements motivated by loathing of the Soviet working class. Stalin understood very clearly that the class struggle must continue under the dictatorship of the proletariat if the USSR was to get to the point where the socialist transformation would become secure.
The counter revolution begun after his death was about making sure that the working class was pushed out of the actual governing of the country. This happened bit by bit over the course of three decades but the aim was relentlessly pursued by every Soviet leader up to Gorbachev who merely completed the process. Revisionism is an anti working class trend which was promoted to destroy Marxism-Leninism as the bourgeoisie know damn well that this is the weapon which will enable the liberation of the working class. Stalin, as the leader of the revolution and the man who understood this better than anyone, had to be torn down in order for the revisionists to carry out this counter revolution. Now though their lies are starting to fall apart and the truth will slowly spread around the world.

"As long as there are comrades - women and men - fighting for a different future, it means that there is a chance to change reality, the reality of massacres, genocide and its justification."
This was stated the other day by Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, during a visit to him by Rima El Hassan, a French-Palestinian lawyer and member of the European Parliament.
20 February Georges Abdallah will appear again in court, where his release will be decided. He was previously released on 6 December on condition of deportation to Lebanon, but the French anti-terrorist prosecutor's office objected to the release.

Prisons in the US are tied to a profit margin. And in Cuba, prisons are tied to, and the society is focused on, valuing the human being. So everything that they do, from the education to the fact that the healthcare system is free, to the entire approach of incarcerating someone, is tied to how do we make the most out of each individual, because the view is that the human is the most precious resource that their country has.
That is a very poignant quote from this article pointing out the main difference between capitalist and socialist incarceration. We seek to punish, and profit from, where Cuba, and other socialist countries, seek to rehabilitate and attempt to reintegrate the criminal back into society.
