Three years ago this month, the dockworkers went on strike. It was my first time experiencing a strike as a union representative. That struggle taught me a great deal about unions and collective bargaining.
I witnessed the tangible strength of the working class when they stood together, but I also came to understand the limitations of trade unionism. While unions can organise workers to fight for better wages and conditions, they ultimately operate within, and often uphold, the framework of capitalism, attempting to negotiate, and reform, rather than overturn it. As long as they exist to mediate between labour and capital, they can never be a vehicle for true emancipation—only a battleground where workers catch glimpses of their own power.

Where the chains of capitalism are forged, there they must be broken. Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave field guidance at the Nampho Dockyard on March 20.
He was accompanied by major senior officials of the WPK Central Committee.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un went round various production lines of the dockyard.
True to his on-site instructions, the workers, technicians and officials of the dockyard are pushing ahead with the work for modernizing production lines and expanding their production capacity in an all-out effort to implement the policy of the WPK on developing the shipbuilding industry in the new era.

South Korean opposition parties raised a motion to impeach acting President Choi Sang-mok on Friday, the majority Democratic Party said, in a move likely to escalate recent political strife in the country.
Although the motion starts a process that would lead to a vote by parliament to pass it by a simple majority, the timetable was not immediately clear.
Choi has angered opposition parties, which have a commanding majority in parliament, by repeatedly vetoing bills and holding off appointing a Constitutional Court justice approved by the assembly who is viewed as liberal-leaning.

The Longji Rice Terraces are a stunningly beautiful site created by the local Zhuang and Yao ethnic minorities.
The terraces were built during the Ming Dynasty and completed in the early Qing Dynasty, and are now more than 650 years old. They are all distributed at an altitude of 300 m to 1,100 m above sea level, and the greatest slope of the terraces can reach 50°.

No party or revolution in the world has ever dreamed of striking so deep at the roots of the oppression and inequality of women as the Soviet, Bolshevik revolution is doing. Over here, in Soviet Russia, no trace is left of any inequality between men and women under the law. The Soviet power has eliminated all there was of the especially disgusting, base and hypocritical inequality in the laws on marriage and the family and inequality in respect of children.
This is only the first step in the liberation of woman. But none of the bourgeois republics, including the most democratic, has dared to take over this first step. The reason is awe of “sacrosanct private property.
The second and most important step is the abolition of the private ownership of land and the factories. This and this alone opens up the way towards a complete and actual emancipation of woman, her liberation from “household bondage” through transition from petty individual housekeeping to large-scale socialised domestic services.

New satellite imagery confirms the systematic extermination of Alawite civilians in Syria’s coastal regions by the new Islamist government. Despite HTS leader Abu Mohammad al-Julani’s attempts to dismiss the massacres as the actions of rogue elements, the evidence tells a different story:
➡️ At least 84 Alawites executed in Sanobar, with attackers wearing HTS military insignia.
➡️ Over 420 civilians killed in 25 villages between March 6-10.
➡️ Mass graves now visible in satellite imagery, including one measuring 26 by 16 meters in just a single town.
The international response? Silence. Instead of condemnation, Western governments continue funding this regime—Germany just pledged $326 million in aid to the very forces responsible for these atrocities.
