147 years ago, on December 18th 1876, the first political demonstration under the red flag in Russia took place on the square of the Kazan Cathedral in St. Petersburg. In history it is known as the Kazan demonstration .
The demonstration was organized and carried out by populists from Land and Freedom and members of workers' circles associated with them. About 400 people gathered in the square. G.V. Plekhanov delivered a passionate revolutionary speech to the audience. The young worker named Potapov unfurled a red flag, which became a symbol of the revolutionary movement.
The demonstration was dispersed by the police. 31 demonstrators were arrested, 5 of whom were sentenced to 10-15 years of hard labor, 10 were sentenced to exile in Siberia, and three workers, including Y. Potapov, were sentenced to imprisonment for 5 years in a monastery.
The Kazan demonstration marked the beginning of the conscious participation of the Russian working class in the social movement. Anti-government rallies, demonstrations, and May Day meetings took place under red banners.
In 1898, the red flag became the flag of the RSDLP.
In 1917, the red flag became the flag of the new Soviet State.

Throughout the summer, there was consistent movement of concrete mixers and trucks carrying crushed stone through populated areas in the northern direction of the Volyn region.

Ansar Allah stands defiant against Biden's genocidal Goliath

Throughout Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, the resistance has covered itself in glory. Every day we see militias armed with homemade weapons resisting an outright genocide carried out by one of the most high tech and lethal forces ever assembled. Only two months in, the Zionist cowards are already breaking under the heavy blows of the resistance, facing mass desertion in their ranks and widespread protests against the ruling regime at home. While the Palestinian resistance heroically stands their ground, they do not stand alone.
When the Palestinian people called for their allies to rise up and strike the fascists, no one else answered the call quite like Ansar Allah. The lionhearted Yemeni resistance stands defiant against the full might of the genocidal imperialist machine and fights back with all their might. Often called “Houthis” by the western media, this name is an intentional obfuscation designed to treat Ansar Allah as a simple ethnic militia rather than what it is, a popular front against American imperialism.
Ansar Allah’s daring operations in the past months have demonstrated a much higher level of sophistication than they were previously given credit for. Far from the stone age rabble which the western media tries to portray them as, Ansar Allah are in reality a formidable force hardened by years of brutal war against America and it’s genocidal allies.

An interesting thing I've been looking at is the new features on Google maps where you can look at pictures from the last 25 years. I find it very useful to show how the last remnants of the community have died. It's being replaced by mass amounts of cheap crap housing or poorly made discount supermarkets.

This is area of the city is well known to one of our comrades. A great working class part of Liverpool. A once vibrant and rich area, Walton-on-the-hill has now been left to destitution.
This is what happens to working class areas in big cities that have no student or tourist ability. Working class high streets are kept alive by what's left of the old pubs, supermarkets, barbers and budget shops.
The working class are given the bare minimum in which to survive and then are exploited to the maximum. As capitalism lurches into yet another recession more and more we are seeing extreme poverty in the imperialist countries. With no colonies left to exploit more wars fought in the name of resource capital.
This will never transform the working class communities into what they once were. We will continue to be exploited as much as possible whilst still being able to "live" and breed.
The only way we can reverse this and live a respectful existence is to remove those who seek to exploit us and have a truly worker led economy, a planned economy.

Under Stalin's leadership, the USSR economy grew 14 times, the population increased by 46 million people, and life expectancy increased by 26 years. And this despite the fact that the most bloody and destructive war occurred during his reign.
On this memorable day, I want to congratulate everyone and remind: the current government will not succeed if it does not put an end to anti-communism and anti-Sovietism once and for all. If she does not understand that only by relying on a thousand-year history, the greatest milestone of which was the Soviet era, can she win and confidently move forward.
