Kongsberg Gruppen has built a new weapons plant outside of Oslo as NATO allies race to increase production.

Some of the demand also comes from the US Navy, selecting Kongsberg’s Naval Strike Missile (NSM) for its fleet, an anti-ship missile with a range of 250km.

The factory will produce “several hundreds of missiles per year,” the firm said - declining to give a specific number but confirming that current growth was “exponential.”

The White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby says that from the very beginning of the Russia and Ukraine conflict the US feared escalation, that the US president does not want to be responsible for the start of World War III, and that they are not looking for a conflict with Russia, a nuclear power.

Shortly after, the US president authorizes military strikes on Russian territory.

Launching military strikes now means being against military conflict. Keep this in mind.

Electricity blackouts have been reported in several European countries, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Montenegro.

In Albania, blackouts have been reported in Tirana, Durrësi, Lezha, Shkodra, Kukësi, Saranda and Elbasani – lights at the country’s constitutional court have also gone off.

Southern Croatia suffered a massive power outage at around 12.30pm local time, with the entirety of Dubrovnik and Konavle blacked out - the country’s national power grid, HEP, said the outage was down to ‘an international disturbance that affected several countries.’

❗️Ukraine Sends More Troops to Embattled Frontline Town

Kiev has been forced to dispatch reinforcements to strengthen the defence of the Chasiv Yar sector, the eastern Donetsk region that has become a strategic flashpoint.

Units of the 24th Mechanized Brigade are being redeployed from the town of Toretsk, another frontline region where Russian forces have gained ground after a lull in fighting, according to military bloggers.

If it were to be captured, it could accelerate Russian advances deeper in the industrial territory.
