🔴 HAPPENING NOW - Hundreds of civillians drive to the Tishrin dam to stop the bombings

This week, Turkey began airstrikes with warplanes on the Tishrin dam. The dam could collapse. Today hundreds of people are driving to Tishrin to protest the attacks and protect the dam.

➡️ Background: The Tishrin Dam is one of the key targets in current attacks. The Turkish backed SNA forces have attacked the dam continuously for weeks but the SDF have never let it fall into their hands. In the past days Turkey has started bombing the dam with warplanes. This is an escalation, until now Turkey was mostly supporting the SNA with drones.

➡️ Today's protest: Yesterday the Autonomous Administration called a protest at Tishin to protect the dam. From Hasaka alone hundreds of people are now driving to Tishrin.

#BREAKING: The people have reached the dam!

Despite air strikes and artillery shelling the people that joined the convoy to protest the attacks on the Tishrin damn have reached the dam are now on the dam.

The Turkish state again has comitted war crimes by targeting a civilian protest. This needs to trigger a serious reaction from the international public and the allies of the Revolution in Rojava!

➡️ Today thousands of cars from all North-East Syria gathered in a convoy to reach the Tishreen Dam and make a human shield action in support of the SDF.

💥 The convoy, composed by families, journalists, institutions, civilians and youth was deliberately attacked by the fascist Turkish State through genocidal airstrikes.

✌️ The people in Rojava are decisive in their resistance. The resistance that is happening today is showing what Revolutionary People‘s War is!

💥THE HISTORIC RESISTANCE AT TISHRIN CONTINUES 💥

Today hundreds of people drove and walked through Turkish bombs to reach Tishrin dam. Over 15 people were killed or injured but the people continued and hold watch at the dam tonight.

In the past few days we've seen the first airstrikes from Turkish warplanes on the Tishrin dam. This shows how weak the position of the SNA is, as they need more air support from Turkey, but also increases the massive threat of the Tishrin dam collapsing.

The situation is serious. The people are taking huge risks to stop the attacks and, as their friends, we must do the same.

💢Turkish state continues to bomb Tishrin💢

Yesterday, 8 January, people travelled to Tishrin to protest against the attacks from SNA/Turkey and to protect the dam from Turkey's bombs. Turkey bombed the convoy and 3 friends were martyred and 15 injured. The friends continued and thousands of people arrived at the dam. Turkey's attacks were defeated with the Revolutionary People's War.

Tishrin has been constantly bombed for a month, leaving no opportunity to make repairs, and now the Autonomous Administration has confirmed the dam is damaged will collapse if Turkey continues its attacks. If the dam collapses 2 billion m³ of water will flood massive areas of land. It will destroy land, houses, and lives.

We stand with our friends in Tishrin. Together we will stop the war and protect Tishrin!

MALPENSA: TURKICH AIRLINES CHECK-INS BLOCKED IN SOLIDARITY WITH ROJAVA. VIOLENCE AGAINST MANIFESTANTS

This morning, January 9, 2025, in response to Turkey's continued attacks on the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Northeast Syria (Rojava, DAANES), many young people blocked flight check-in at Milan Malpensa.

The response they received from airport staff and law enforcement was encirclement and abuse of violence on the young protesters. Some activists were violently separated from the rest of the group and seized. One of them was isolated and taken to a small room: when he was released, he claimed to have been punched and thrown against the wall. The entire group was surrounded by security forces and for five hours they were prevented from leaving the airport.

Now with the new dialogue with Abdullah Öcalan we can see we have the power to end the war and force a peaceful solution if we rise up and stand with the people of North and East Syria.
