The 1st International Working Brigade has published a statement offering new perspectives on their journey and show the will to challenge the Embargo imposed on Rojava/AANES

"We call on all internationalists and democratic people of the world to support the Revolution and to struggle for peace in Kurdistan. We commit to further actions to break the embargo. For this purpose, there will be a second Internationalist Working Brigade next month to follow our steps and as many as are needed to break the embargo. Despite the fact we were stopped, we did not fail. This is just one part of the immense struggle against fascism, militarism and patriarchy. We will never stop our efforts to build a free life. UPDATE July 7th
On July 6th the Autonomous Administration of North- & Eastern Syria (AANES) declared a full state of emergency on the entire region. Bodies, committees and Institutions of AANES are hold to prepare of contingency plans to deal with threats and challenges. This comes after weeks of increasing attacks by Turkish forces and their Islamist mercenaries on designated areas for announced incursion.
Meanwhile troop deployments by SNA forces in the occupied areas north of Tel Rifaat were documented. Yesterday a Turkish troop convoy entered the occupied areas through the Bab al-Salama and al-Rai border crossing, carriying heavy weapons, tanks & armored vehicles.
Russia and the Damascus regime have lately reinforced troops around Kobane and at the Qamişlo airport, supposedly to protect the area from Turkish attacks. However, the areas are not designated as immediate targets for Turkish attacks.

A Turkish delegation will visit Iran on July 19th. It can be expected that a discussion of Turkish invasion plans will be on the agenda for the meeting. The date also marks the 10th anniversary of the Revolution in Rojava.
The threat level for Turkish incursion in North- & Eastern Syria remains high and latest troop movements indicate that we are getting closer to Day X.

A message from Rojava to you!

The attacks on Rojava are continuing on high frequency in the last days. Especially villages in the Shehba region were targeted today.
After state of emergency was declared by highest bodie of the Autonomous Administration the last preparations to confront Turkish invasion are taken by military forces, civil society organizations and local defense structures.
According to a Statement by #SDF's Northern Democratic Forces Damascus and the Autonomous Administration came to the agreement to defend the borders against Turkish attacks together.
For this the implementation of a joint operation room was announced to coordinate the defense on the frontline from #TelRifaat to #Kobane. This was accompanied by Syrian army reinforcing troops north of Aleppo and around Kobane.
The events on the ground in the coming weeks will show how committed the Syrian army is to confront the Turkish aggression. In earlier Turkish incursions they have not lived up to their responsibilities.

Russia's & Iran's stance on Turkish plans not fully clear: Iran voiced concerns & is probably worried about the Shiite Settlements close to the Tel-Rifaat frontline. #Russia, known to be pragmatic in foreign policy can be expected to open airspace for TR if the price is right.
On July 19th Erdogan and Turkish delegation will visit Tehran to address Iran's concerns and gain support for Turkish incursion. If Russia gives green light & Turkey can win over Iran the invasion could start shortly after July 19th. Turkey has before chosen dates with historical meaning for attacks. On July 19 the people in Rojava & all around the world will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Revolution.

While Turkey is removing the last obstacles to invasion, we are also preparing to give an appropriate response to the attacks of Turkish fascism.
