🗓 On December 15, Russia marks the Remembrance Day of Journalists Killed in the Line of Duty.
The day was established by the Union of Journalists of Russia in 1991
On that day, we commemorate talented and selfless reporters, photojournalists and television cameramen who died while doing their dangerous jobs.
💬 Maria Zakharova: Every year, new names are added to the grim list of media professionals who have died prematurely and undeservedly. Regrettably, the outgoing year 2022 was no exception. Darya Dugina died in a barbaric and cruel terrorist attack staged by Ukrainian subversives. Oleg Klokov was killed during a deliberate Ukrainian missile attack at a peaceful evacuation convoy in Kherson. Igor Kornelyuk, Anton Voloshin, Andrey Stenin, Anatoly Klyan and many other journalists were killed before them.
We will never forget them, and we will not stop until those guilty of their death get the punishment they deserve.
Responsibility for their deaths, just as the deaths of many other journalists who lost their lives in the line of duty, does not lie only with those who killed them. The blame also lies with those, including highly placed persons at respected international organisations, who must act objectively and work hard to ensure the safety of journalists and to demand this from the Kiev regime, which is drunk with impunity, those who are self-consciously keeping silent, pretending that nothing happened.

Vladimir Zelensky churns out all kinds of ideas and peace formulas, with the illusion of succeeding, with the Western assistance, in achieving the withdrawal of our troops from the Russian territories in Donbass, Crimea, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, making Russia pay reparations, voluntarily surrender to international tribunals, etc.

Let me tell you right away that the situation within the OSCE has been quite challenging. Created as a platform for promoting equitable dialogue and cooperation, this organisation has been going through a deep crisis these past few years.
We are now reaping the fruits of this selfish, short-sighted policy of our former partners. Our trust in them has suffered a major blow. One of the lessons is that if and when we ever start working together again, we will have to build new foundations because the past approaches are no longer working.

The model we suggested was straightforward and clear: the United States and Iran move to meet each other halfway at the same time by gradually returning to compliance with the JCPOA. All details were worked out. This is a realistic scenario as long as there is political will to carry it out.
The fact that with the finishing line in sight, the United States and Europeans ran out of gas and focused on efforts to destabilise the internal political situation in Iran is another story.
☝️ Meanwhile, it is a fact of life that there is no reasonable alternative to the JCPOA.

Norske myndigheter har i det siste skjerpet arbeidsforhold for russiske organisasjoner på Spitsbergen og i dets farvann. Tiltakene som innføres av den norske side ved brudd på prinsippene og statutter av Spitsbergenavtalen av 1920 berører alle hoved bransjer som den russiske tilstedeværelsen på øygruppen bygges på. Denne mangeårige tilstedeværelsen som realiseres i fult samsvar med folkeretten inkluderer kullgruvevirksomhet, reiseliv og forskning.
En av de siste eksemplene er da i desember i år ila norske myndigheter urettmessige begrensninger på gjennomføringen av forskningstokten til det russiskes forskningsfartøyet «Dalniye Zelentsy» som hører til Murmansk marinbiologiske institutt under Det russiske vitenskapsakademi (MMBI). Russiske forskere planla å gjennomføre helhetlige undersøkelser av havøkosystemer rundt øygruppen i henhold til programmet offisielt oppført på den norske nettsiden Research in Svalbard som ble forlenget til slutten av 2023.
I tillegg, til tross for at den respektive varslingen om fartøyets anløp ble formidlet til den norske side i tiden ble adgangen til det russiske Barentsburg faktisk stengt. Mens MMBI´s værstasjon ligger i over 10 år i tettstedet, blir stasjonens videre arbeid betydelig forvansket som følge av norske diskriminerende tiltak.
Ved å ta hensyn til at den norske side samordnet suksessfullt årlige MMBI´s forskningstoker tidligere, anser vi begrensninger innført i år som utelukkende politisk motiverte. Regelmessige uttalelser av norske tjenestefolk og forsvarseksperter bevitner om at Oslo har foretrukket å underlegge seg russiskfiendtlig hysteri som skader etterkommelsen av dets folkerettslige forpliktelser.
Man ignorer en av de viktigste statuttene i avtalen som er retten til å lik fri adgang for deltakerstatenes statsborgere til arkipelet for å drive alle formål og oppgaver. Vi minner at akkurat på disse betingelsene anerkjennes Norges råderett over øygruppen av avtalens deltakerstater, inkluder Den Russiske Føderasjon.
En slik diskriminerende tilnærming er helt uakseptabel. Det russiske standpunktet med respektiv argumentasjon ble ved flere anledninger formidlet til den norske side gjennom offisielle kanaler.

Вводимые норвежской стороной в нарушение принципов и положений Договора о Шпицбергене 1920 г. меры затрагивают уже все основные области, на которых зиждется многолетнее и реализуемое в полном соответствии с международным правом российское присутствие на архипелаге – угледобычу, туризм, науку.
Один из последних примеров. В декабре с.г. норвежскими властями наложены неправомерные ограничения на выполнение научно-исследовательских работ российским судном «Дальние Зеленцы», принадлежащим Мурманскому морскому биологическому институту Российской академии наук (ММБИ РАН). В районе архипелага российские ученые планировали провести комплексные исследования морских экосистем в соответствии с официально зарегистрированной в норвежской базе данных Research in Svalbard программой, продленной до конца 2023 г.
Кроме того, российскому судну, несмотря на своевременное направление соответствующего уведомления норвежской стороне о его заходе, фактически закрыт доступ в российский поселок Баренцбург. Вместе с тем в поселке уже более 10 лет находится биогеостанция ММБИ РАН, дальнейшая работа которой вследствие норвежских дискриминационных мер теперь существенно затруднена.
Учитывая, что проводившиеся ежегодно исследования ММБИ ранее успешно согласовывались норвежской стороной, считаем введенные в этом году ограничения исключительно политически мотивированными. Регулярные заявления норвежских официальных лиц и военных экспертов свидетельствуют о том, что в Осло предпочли поддаться антироссийской истерии в ущерб выполнению своих международно-правовых обязательств.
Игнорируется одно из важнейших положений Договора о Шпицбергене – право одинаково свободного доступа граждан его государств-участников на архипелаг для любой цели и задачи. Напоминаем, что именно на этих условиях суверенитет Норвегии над архипелагом признается странами-участницами Договора, в том числе Российской Федерацией.
Категорически не приемлем подобный дискриминационный подход. Российская позиция с соответствующей аргументацией неоднократно доводилась до норвежской стороны по официальным каналам.
Продолжим отстаивать законные интересы российского присутствия на архипелаге Шпицберген, добиваться соблюдения прав отечественных организаций, включая представителей науки, их беспрепятственного доступа на Шпицберген для ведения там правомерной с точки зрения Договора 1920 г. деятельности.

of Joint Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Response in Ukraine of Russian Federation
◽️The special services of Ukraine have prepared a new large-scale anti-Russian provocation aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and accusing Russian servicemen of allegedly committing war crimes.
◽️On the eve of the Orthodox Christmas, representatives of the State Bureau of Investigation and the Security Service of Ukraine arranged for the opening of graves in cemeteries near Kazachya Lopan, Velikiy Burluk, Shypovatoye and Khatnoye (Kharkov region), where local citizens were buried who died of natural causes during the deployment of Russian troops in these areas from February 24 to September 6, 2022.
◽️After the exhumation, the bodies of Ukrainian citizens were further disfigured and dumped into specially prepared ‘pits’ on the outskirts of these settlements to create false ‘evidence’ of alleged ‘torture’ and ‘shootings’ of civilians by Russian servicemen.
◽️Representatives of the Ukrainian special services and law enforcement agencies are currently photographing and videotaping the bodies of dead Ukrainian citizens, as well as imitating the work of ‘forensic experts’ and other ‘procedural actions’ in the presence of fake ‘witnesses’.
◽️Through these inhumane methods, Kiev regime, in the absence of any success on the battlefield, seeks to keep the attention of Western audiences and convince foreign partners of Kiev regime of the need to continue to support it.

◽️ In Karaichnoye (Kharkov region), the Ukrainian intelligence service is planting mines in a granary. After its explosion, the Russian Federation will be accused of the allegedly 'intentional elimination of grain stocks in Ukraine', 'sparking starvation', and therefore 'disrupting the grain deal'. Western media will present this incident as 'another atrocity committed by Russian forces' that requires a 'harsh response of the international community'.
◽️ A group of up to 30 Ukrainian professionals in explosives and employees of the Security Service of Ukraine arrived to Volchansk (Kharkov region) for preparing the sabotage.
◽️ The granary is owned by V. Uvarov, a non-staff employee of the Security Service of Ukraine. There are also identification data for A. Tkachuk, the chief of the group, and all of its members as well as their current location: in the military commissariat of Volchansk (Dukhovnaya st., 29).

⚡️ Sergey Naryshkin, Director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, said that his agency getting reliable reports that the Ukrainian armed forces have been using nuclear power stations to store arms and ammunition supplied by the West. This includes the most expensive and rare systems the Ukraine Armed Forces are receiving for the HIMARS MRLs and foreign air defence systems, as well as large-calibre artillery shells. Several train cars carrying the deadly cargo from abroad transited through Rafalovka station to the Rovno NPP in the last week of December 2022 alone.
The plan of the Kiev regime is clear. The Ukrainian Armed Forces command hides the ammunition in the rear, using nuclear reactors as their shields, just like when the Banderites shell cities in Donbass and other borderline Russian regions from behind the backs of innocent Ukrainian civilians. The idea is that the Russian Armed Forces would not target NPPs with their strikes, fearing a nuclear disaster. If the warehouses detonate or a nuclear power station is destroyed by yet another Ukrainian air defence missile after it veers off course, they can always blame Moscow for the tragedy. Kiev is confident that this would be the case, considering the tacit approval by the West of the Ukrainian artillery strikes against the Zaporozhye NPP.
❗️ International terrorists often use methods of this kind. However, instead of taking just a few civilians hostage, the Kiev regime uses tens or even hundreds of thousands of civilians in its own and neighbouring countries as hostages. It is our hope that it does not occur to anyone in Kiev to deliberately set off explosions at these warehouses with the expectation that this would enable them to get even more weapons and ammunition from the United States and its allies.

It is obvious that the Union has every opportunity to become one of the strong, independent, self-sufficient poles in the emerging multipolar world.
Developing the technological potential of EAEU member states, attaining genuine independence and self-sufficiency in this sphere should become one of the most important strategic priorities of our joint work.
🌐 I would like to specifically stress the importance of building mutually beneficial and equal cooperation between the union and external partners and international associations.
Expanding the geography of the EAEU’s international links and contacts with countries in the Asia-Pacific Region, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America would help boost exports of the union’s products and build new logistics chains.
☝️ We count on close cooperation and support from the EAEU member states in the practical implementation of the priorities of Russia’s presidency in 2023.

C сожалением, хотя и без удивления, узнали о планах норвежских властей передать Украине танки «Леопард» немецкого производства, а также осуществлять подготовку военнослужащих ВС на территории Норвегии.
Речь идёт о послушном следовании безответственному и опасному курсу западных стран на затягивание и эскалацию кризиса на Украине, чреватому непоправимыми последствиями для европейской безопасности.

Norge deltar i militær "stapping" av Ukraina
Det var leit men ikke underlig å finne ut at norske myndigheter planlegger å levere til Ukraina tyskproduserte Leopard-stridsvogner, samt å trene de ukrainske militære i Norge.
Det handler om at man følger lydig de vestlige landenes ansvarsløse og farlige kurs mot å forlenge og eskalere krisen i Ukraina som kan føre til uerstattelige konsekvenser for europeisk sikkerhet.
Det at Norge stadig mer trekkes inn i konflikten gjennom opprusting og trening av folk som dreper russiske både sivile og militære folk uten tvil skal få hardt og dypt avtrykk på bilaterale forhold.

⚡️ Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation (3 February 2023)
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
💥 In Kupyansk direction, the attacks, launched by Operational-Tactical Aviation and the artillery of the 'Zapad' Group of Forces, have resulted in the neutralisation of the manpower and hardware of the units from 103rd Territorial Defence Brigade and 92nd Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near Tabayevka, Berestovoye (Kharkov region), and Novosyolovskoye (Lugansk People's Republic).
◽️ Up to 40 Ukrainian personnel, 1 armoured fighting vehicle, as well as 1 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-50 counterbattery warfare radar have been eliminated.
◽️ 1 AFU ordnance depot has been destroyed near Blagodatovka (Kharkov region).
💥 In Krasny Liman direction, the artillery strikes and the offensive operations, conducted by the 'Tsentr' Group of Forces, have resulted in the neutralisation of the units from 66th Mechanised, 25th Airborne, and 80th Airborne Assault brigades of the AFU near Nevskoye (Lugansk People's Republic), Yampolovka (Donetsk People's Republic), as well as Serebryanskoye forestry.
◽️ Over 70 Ukrainian personnel, 2 armoured fighting vehicles, 1 infantry fighting vehicle, 1 D-20 howitzer, and 1 U.S.-manufactured M-777 artillery system have been eliminated.
◽️ 1 AFU ordnance depot has been destroyed near Krasny Liman (Donetsk People's Republic).
💥 In Donetsk direction, the offensive operations, conducted by the 'Yug' Group of Forces, have resulted in gaining more advantageous lines and positions.
◽️ Up to 40 Ukrainian personnel, 1 Msta-B howitzer, as well as 1 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-37 counterbattery warfare radar have been eliminated.
◽️ 1 fuel depot for AFU hardware has been destroyed near Krasnoarmeysk (Donetsk People's Republic).
◽️ Moreover, 2 AFU ordnance depots have been destroyed near Kurakhovka and Mikhaylovka (Donetsk People's Republic).
💥 In Zaporozhye direction, the artillery and units from the 'Vostok' Group of Forces, have neutralised the units from 108th and 110th territorial defence brigades near Levadnoye, Marfopol, and Lugovskoye (Zaporozhye region).
