A Pakistani team of military cadets is participating in the first tournament among pre-university educational organisations of defence departments of the International Military Sports Council (CISM) member states.
The competition is being held in the Russian city of Tula in five sports: boxing, volleyball, athletics, swimming and shooting.
We are wishing the Pakistani team and all the participants of the competition success, vivid impressions and a pleasant stay in Russia!
 

Пакистанская команда военных курсантов принимает участие в первом турнире среди довузовских образовательных организаций оборонных ведомств государств-членов Международного совета военного спорта (CISM).
Соревнования проходят в российском городе Туле по пяти видам спорта: бокс, волейбол, легкая атлетика, плавание, стрельба.
Желаем пакистанской команде и всем участникам соревнований успехов, ярких впечатлений и приятного пребывания в России!

The Embassy hosted an award ceremony for the winners and runners-up of the poetry recital contest commemorating the 225th anniversary of a great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.
Ambassador Albert Khorev presented certificates and memorable gifts to the award winners, and they graced the occasion with their evocative rendition of Pushkin's poems.

В Посольстве состоялась торжественная церемония награждения победителей и призеров конкурса чтецов, приуроченного к 225-й годовщине А.С.Пушкина.

Доклад продолжает усилия двух министерств по привлечению внимания к вызовам, с которыми сталкивается современное международное сообщество в области прав человека.

Собранные факты наглядно демонстрируют, что для западных «образцовых демократий» в принципе характерны расистские, неоколониальные взгляды. Ярким подтверждением тому служит их стремление насаждать придуманный ими же «порядок, основанный на правилах», его противопоставление международному праву. В этом подходе налицо расистское по сущности деление государств на «имеющих право» эти правила создавать и тех, кто должен беспрекословно им следовать, может быть даже в ущерб своим национальным интересам.

✍️ Россия и Белоруссия неизменно исходят из того, что одной из самых серьёзных проблем остаётся практика применения так называемых двойных стандартов при оценке тех или иных правозащитных ситуаций и явлений. В этом плане весьма показательно, что подобный подход всё более активно используется странами «коллективного Запада» в целях нагнетания конфронтации и оказания давления на суверенные государства.

❗️В формирующемся новом мире крайне необходима полная реализация принципа суверенного равенства государств. Это позволит предотвращать неправомерные попытки отдельных стран «подмять» под себя систему международного права и использовать его универсальные правозащитные механизмы в своих узкокорыстных целях.

👉 Приведённые в настоящем докладе негативные примеры служат весьма убедительным подтверждением необходимости задействования усилий всего конструктивно настроенного международного сообщества для успешного противостояния этим вызовам.

⚡️ Human Rights Situation in Certain Countries (The Joint Report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus)

The document aims to draw attention to the challenges and threats faced by the contemporary international community in the field of human rights.

📄 With regard to the human rights issues raised in the Report, our countries firmly believe that applying the so-called double-standards while assessing certain situations and phenomena remains a major challenge in this field. In this regard, it is very symptomatic that such an approach is increasingly being used by the countries of the collective West to fuel confrontation and exert pressure on sovereign States. <...>

We have repeatedly pointed out in international human rights forums and in thematic reports on human rights that a number of countries are openly promoting racist ideas and values, provoking the upsurge of radical nationalism. And this is happening despite the fact that there are legal mechanisms in place within the United Nations, the OSCE and a number of other international organizations aimed at countering the glorification of Nazism, racism, xenophobia and related intolerance.

❗️ However, such connivance is nothing new, especially since Western "model democracies" are no strangers to racist and neo-colonial views – examples abound in our time, and even more so in the history of the twentieth century, and particularly of World War II. Such duplicity of the West was demonstrated by the events of 2022 and its declared "crusade" against the "Russian world".

In the emerging new world, which should be based on a fairer system of international relations, the full realization of the principle of the sovereign equality of States and the historical, cultural, religious and national particularities of each country is essential. Only on that basis would the negative effects of colonialism, neo-colonial thinking, racism, racial discrimination and related intolerance be fully eradicated. This would prevent unlawful attempts by certain countries to "bring to heel" the international law system and use its universal human rights mechanisms to suit their own parochial and vested interests.

☝️ The negative examples from both the present and the recent past cited in the Report, which, for the most part, we are all well aware of, are a very strong evidence of the need to mobilize the entire constructive-minded international community to successfully confront these challenges.
