⚡️ On the human rights situation in Ukraine — Joint Report of Russia's and Belarus' MFAs
Since 2014, when nationalists seized power in Kiev as a result of an anti-constitutional armed coup d'état orchestrated by the West, violations of fundamental human rights and freedoms in Ukraine have become widespread and systemic.
🔻 Glorification of Nazism
With active encouragement from their Western handlers, the government is working to mould the society on the basis of Nazi ideas.
☝️ To that end, Kiev is consistently spreading aggressive neo-Nazi propaganda accompanied by the rewriting of the history of the Great Patriotic War and World War II. It has become a deliberate state policy in Ukraine to glorify Nazism, encourage its penetration into all spheres of public life.
In recent years, nationalists and right-wing radicals, with the tacit support of the Ukrainian authorities, have started to disrupt events commemorating Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War and other significant dates, as well as anti-fascist events. As a rule, no follow-up measures are being taken in relation to the threats against anti-fascist activists. The Ukrainian law enforcement authorities have never prevented the illegal actions of these criminals and brought them to justice, instead allowing the radicals to hide and gagging their victims.
The actions of the nationalists are usually categorised as hooliganism, regardless of the motives and actual nature of their behaviour. At the same time, the authorities prosecute people for displaying Soviet symbols. Experts view such actions by the authorities as an attempt to intimidate activists, create an atmosphere in which they would be afraid to mention the fact that their relatives had fought in the Red Army.
🔻 Repressions
The degradation of the human rights situation affects Ukraine in many ways. It witnesses regular violations of the right to freedom and personal integrity, and records numerous cases of illegal arrests and subsequent detention, torture, intimidation, inhuman and cruel treatment, aimed primarily at forcing detainees to confess guilt.
❗️ Persecution of political opponents, independent journalists and media outlets, and members of public organizations undesirable for the government, has taken on an unprecedented scale; and it is frequently backed by claims about the need to confront "the Russian aggression" and "separatism". In furtherance of these policies, the government in Kiev is making use of radical nationalist groups which frequently break the law but remain untouchable.
Moreover, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens, including the elderly, women and children, have been dying and suffering in the 10 year old internal armed conflict unleashed by Kiev in the south-east of the country.
International human rights monitoring mechanisms have been recording numerous cases of illegal detention, torture, intimidation, ill-treatment, sexual violence, including those aimed at forcing confession or cooperation.
🔻 The persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church
The canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), that the Kiev government has been trying to uproot from the country's confessional environment for many years, got under the blow of the Russophobic manifestations. A large-scale information campaign has been launched against the clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church aimed at discrediting its priests in the eyes of the flock and creating an image of them as "collaborators of the enemy".
Slanderous rumours are spread about archpriests of parishes, numerous fake news are posted on social network saying the church hierarchs allegedly assist the Russian Armed Forces.
On a daily basis, the Ukrainian police and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) accuse people of storing weapons, ammunition, and provisions for the "aggressor" in UOC churches.
Many cases of violent seizures of churches belonging to the canonical Church and their subsequent "transfer" to the schismatic structure created by the Kiev regime have been recorded.

Всё это свидетельствует о настрое пропитанного русофобией британского политического истеблишмента на дальнейшее жёсткое системное противостояние России.
Заметную роль во враждебных усилиях Лондона играет ряд действующих в Великобритании аналитических центров, консалтинговых агентств и иных структур аналогичного профиля. Их экспертные оценки и формулируемые задачи, зачастую связанные с вмешательством во внутренние дела иностранных государств, широко используются при реализации антироссийского курса «коллективного Запада».
Через общедоступные СМИ и в сети Интернет такие организации распространяют дезинформацию, дискредитирующую российское государство, тщетно пытаясь создать условия для дестабилизации внутриполитической обстановки в нашей стране. Кроме того, в рамках отработки заказа лондонских кураторов, ставящих цель политически и экономически изолировать Москву на международной арене, подобные «мозговые тресты» осуществляют деструктивную активность в дружественных России государствах, подрывая стабильность и благополучие населяющих их народов.
В связи с этим принято решение о включении в ответный «стоп-лист» представителей ряда таких структур и закрытии для них въезда в Российскую Федерацию.

❗️ Решительно осуждаем заявления министра обороны Великобритании Дж.Хили в британской прессе 18 августа.
Министр неуклюже попытался оправдать некими соображениями украинской самообороны и британской безопасности действия киевского режима, в т.ч. в Курской области, и поддержку ему со стороны Лондона на фоне возросшей глобальной напряжённости.
Сетования Дж.Хили на рост нестабильности в мире насквозь пропитаны лицемерием.
☝️ Ведь именно его страна – а если посмотреть на пару десятилетий назад, то и его партия – приложили немало усилий, чтобы ситуация в ряде регионов мира достигла точки кипения.
Это в полной мере относится и к украинскому кризису – как с точки зрения активного участия Лондона в его разжигании, так и в последующем срыве мирных переговоров.
Публично одобряя преступную авантюру Киева в Курской области, нынешние британские власти, как и их предшественники-консерваторы, потворствуют проводимой киевским режимом линии на эскалацию, резко увеличивающую масштаб рисков.
Видимо, Лондон не смущает абсурдность ссылок на ст. 51 Устава ООН для оправдания чинимого украинскими боевиками мародёрства, грабежей, взятия заложников, уничтожения гражданского имущества.

❗️ The UK government persists in its aggressive anti-Russia policy. As part of this vision, London pursues the goal of achieving what it calls a strategic defeat on the battlefield against our country, even if these efforts were always doomed to failure. In doing so, it has been making active use of a mechanism, which consists of imposing illegitimate restrictions through sanctions, as well as waging an informational and media campaign rooted in lies and hypocrisy. All this attests to the commitment by the UK’s political establishment, imbued as it is with anti-Russia sentiment, to carry on with its tough and system-wide confrontation with Russia.
Several think tanks, consulting agencies and other similar structures have been making a significant contribution to London’s hostile efforts. Their experts’ assessments and the way they articulate objectives often include interfering in the domestic affairs of foreign states and are widely used while implementing an anti-Russia policy of the collective West.
These organisations spread misinformation to discredit the Russian state through mainstream media and online, and are trying in vain to create conditions for destabilising the situation within our country. In addition to this, while executing the orders of their curators in London and working on their agenda to isolate Moscow on the international stage in both political and economic terms, these think tanks engage in destructive efforts in countries which are friendly to Russia by seeking to undermine the stability and wellbeing of the people there.
In this connection, representatives of several structures of this kind were designated on the reciprocal stop list in order to ban them from entering the Russian Federation. These individuals are listed below.

▪️ Exactly two years ago, on August 20, 2022, a bomb attack claimed the life of Russian journalist Darya Dugina (Platonova). That brutal and cold-blooded murder was premeditated and perpetrated by the Ukrainian special services on direct orders from the terrorist Zelensky regime.
Relevant international organisations continue to stubbornly ignore that act of terrorism, along with many other brutal crimes committed by the Kiev clique. With the tacit consent of their Western bosses, Ukrainian neo-Nazis seek to suppress any dissent and are ready to exterminate anyone who defends their point of view. Militants of the Kiev regime are engaged in a full-scale manhunt, targeting representatives of the Russian media community. Among their victims were Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin), Oleg Klokov, Rostislav Zhuravlev, Boris Maksudov, Semyon Yeryomin, Valery Kozhin and Nikita Tsitsagi. VGTRK journalist Yevgeny Poddubny just narrowly missed getting on this mournful list following the recent deliberate attack by a Ukrainian UAV.
❗️ We remember all media professionals who gave their lives for their journalistic calling. We will never allow their names to be consigned to oblivion. We will continue to highlight this at every international platform, raising the international community’s awareness of these issues.
Darya Dugina was only 29 years old. The daughter of eminent Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin, she was a talented journalist and essayist, a strong public figure and a true patriot who made a tangible contribution to the academic research on understanding and interpretation of the system of traditional values of Russian society.
The public in Russia and abroad continues to explore Darya’s extensive philosophical and journalistic legacy. Her books are being published; a number of awards and medals have been established in her honour, and memorial events are being held in Russia as well as in many other countries, including Serbia, India, China, Italy, Austria, France, and Brazil.
The memory of the brave Russian journalist will never fade. Her image will forever remain in people’s hearts as a symbol of loyalty to one’s beliefs and unparalleled dedication.
Darya’s murder has no justification. We will continue to seek justice. We will make sure that everyone responsible for her death will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and face inevitable punishment.

❗️ We strongly condemn the statements made by the UK Defence Secretary John Healey in the British press on 18 August.
The Cabinet Secretary awkwardly sought to justify the actions of the Kiev regime, including those in the Kursk Region, as well as the support provided by London with considerations of what he puts as Ukraine’s self-defence and Britain’s national security amid growing international tension.
The Cabinet Secretary’s lamentations about the rise in global instability are full of hypocrisy.
☝️ It is his country – indeed, if one looks back over the past two decades, his very party - that has made considerable efforts to bring situation in various regions of the world to the boiling point.
This fully applies to the Ukrainian crisis, both in terms of London’s active role in fomenting it and its subsequent sabotage of peace negotiations.
By publicly endorsing Kiev’s criminal escapade in the Kursk Region, the UK’s incumbent Government, just as their Conservative predecessors, abets the Kiev regime’s policy of escalation, which significantly expands the scale of risks.
It appears that London doesn’t care about absurdity of referring to the UN Charter’s Article 51 to justify looting, robbery, hostage-taking and destruction of civilian property perpetrated by Ukrainian forces.
❌ The Cabinet Secretary’s statement of ‘being proud of Britain’s support for Ukraine’ is profoundly immoral – first of all in relation to civilians in various Russia’s regions targeted by the Kiev regime with those very weapons that the head of the British Ministry of Defence so proudly boasts of supplying.

By publicly endorsing Kiev’s criminal escapade in the Kursk Region, the UK’s incumbent Government, just as their Conservative predecessors, abets the Kiev regime’s policy of escalation, which significantly expands the scale of risks.
It appears that London doesn’t care about absurdity of referring to the UN Charter’s Article 51 to justify looting, robbery, hostage-taking and destruction of civilian property perpetrated by Ukrainian forces.
❌ The Cabinet Secretary’s statement of ‘being proud of Britain’s support for Ukraine’ is profoundly immoral – first of all in relation to civilians in various Russia’s regions targeted by the Kiev regime with those very weapons that the head of the British Ministry of Defence so proudly boasts of supplying.

The white-blue-red tricolour appeared in Russia in the 17th century but it had to wait decades before it became the official state symbol. Its earliest mention occurs during the reign of Tsar Aleksey Mikhailovich, in 1668, and is related to the construction of the first Russian naval ship, the frigate Oryol.
However, it is his son, Peter the Great, who is widely considered the creator of Russia's flag, as he personally drew up the sketch and established the order of stripes.
Nowadays, it has become an inalienable element of Russian statehood, an embodiment of our people’s unity and their devotion to the Motherland and readiness to uphold national interests.
The tricolour symbolises respect for Russia’s centuries-long history, the achievements and victories of our ancestors, as well as the desire to live according to our own will, to choose our own path and to follow it.

На днях официальный представитель Минобороны Британии в ответ на запрос СМИ не исключил использования передаваемого Лондоном военного имущества при проведении киевским режимом операций на российской территории. Как и прежде, в подобных высказываниях умышленно сохраняется некая завеса неопределённости, видимо, по шкале «highly likely».
В частности, это касается вопроса применения ВСУ крылатых ракет повышенной дальности Storm Shadow. Она, видимо, должна оставлять Лондону поле для политического манёвра.
И главное, как я уже сказала, киевский режим используется не только как инструмент для реализации гибридной войны, агрессии против нашей страны, но и в качестве ширмы, прикрытия того, что на самом деле идеологи – это англосаксы.
Со своей стороны хотела бы вновь напомнить британским «стратегам», что умышленное повышение градуса эскалации лишь усиливает реальные угрозы безопасности для всех вовлечённых в конфликт сторон.
При этом никакой недооценки военного участия Лондона в украинском конфликте у нас нет. Сожжённые танки Challenger II – наглядное тому подтверждение.

🗓 23 августа 1943 года – 8️⃣1️⃣ год назад – завершилась Курская битва, ставшая одним из самых масштабных сражений в истории человечества. С обеих сторон в нём участвовали более 4 млн человек, было задействовано свыше 69 тыс. орудий и миномётов, более 13 тыс. танков и САУ, до 12 тыс. самолетов.
⚔️ Курская битва, продлившаяся почти 50 суток, включала в себя оборонительную (5-23 июля) и ряд наступательных (12 июля – 23 августа) операций в районе Курского выступа (Курской дуги), который образовался в центре советско-германского фронта весной 1943 года. Целью сражения был срыв крупного наступления немецких войск и разгром стратегической группировки противника.
Битва началась с наступления немецких войск, но после недели упорной обороны войскам Красной армии удалось остановить натиск врага. У деревни Прохоровка (Белгородская область) 12 июля произошло крупнейшее танковое сражение, в котором принимали участие до 1200 танков и штурмовых орудий с обеих сторон. Немецкая танковая группировка потеряла около 10 тыс. человек и более 360 танков, противнику окончательно был закрыт путь в Курск. В тот же день советские войска начали контрнаступление – были освобождены Орёл и Белгород. Битва на Курской дуге завершилась освобождением Харькова (23 августа), после чего Красная армия начала бои за освобождение Украины.
🎖 В Курской битве советские воины проявили мужество, стойкость и массовый героизм: свыше 100 тыс. человек награждены орденами и медалями, 231 человек удостоен звания Героя Советского Союза, 132 соединения и части получили гвардейское звание, 26 удостоены почётных наименований Орловских, Белгородских, Харьковских и Карачевских. В память о героической победе советских солдат в этой битве в Курске установлен мемориальный комплекс «Курская дуга».
❗️Сегодня западная военная техника вновь горит на Курской земле, а её жители так же демонстрируют непреклонность перед натиском нацистов, на сей раз – украинских боевиков, поддерживаемых странами НАТО.

💬 From the outset, the creation of AUKUS, a trilateral partnership between Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, was a malicious and dangerous undertaking, and the way it has been developing, including in terms of its submarine component, proves this.
We must remember that the AUKUS project is more than just a military and technology platform. I must emphasise that it offers a bloc-based framing for enabling NATO to gain a permanent foothold in the Asia-Pacific Region which will have far-reaching consequences in terms of regional stability and security.
Other so-called small-geometry or exclusive associations created by the West are pursuing the same mission in this part of the world, including the QUAD, i.e., four so-called Indo-Pacific countries – Japan, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. Its participants have said that they were very interested in joining AUKUS.
This trilateral alliance forms the backbone for various multilateral military and political tracks as part of the US-branded concept of an Indo-Pacific Region. One thing to note here is that these formats include NATO’s official representatives.
Destructive frameworks of this kind clearly undermine and reverse the positive momentum and constructive cooperation this region has been demonstrating over several decades of peaceful development based on ASEAN-centric mechanisms for promoting stability, security and cooperation.
It is obvious that the AUKUS countries de facto follow a principle whereby those who are with them get everything, while all the others must abide by the law. This is not about taking decisions by consensus. Instead, they want the world order to play by their own rules. <...>
It is quite telling that thinking experts from the AUKUS countries, who are also probably well-informed on these matters, have started voicing their concerns.
☝️ There is a growing awareness that this is a major geopolitical challenge which has every chance of escalating into an unsurmountable threat to international peace and security.
