Dear friends, I welcome all of you.
The topic I would like to raise today is very important. It's about information and disinformation. I will give you a concrete example of what I think disinformation and manipulation of media really is. I want to make a reference to how Western media cover the topic of people evacuated from Mariupol. They have the same basic materials as Russian media, same witnesses, same settings in most of the cases. But we are very puzzled, surprised, and disappointed that Western journalists in most cases clearly engage in censorship, concealing awkward and unpleasant information from Western public. That's how the new Iron Curtain is being created with their help.
I will give you only one concrete example which was also highlighted today at our Arria-Formula meeting in the United Nations Security Council. On May 2, a group of journalists from many countries interviewed a group of evacuees from Azovstal steel plant. One of them, Natalia Usmanova was very vocal and emotional. That's why she appeared in lots of footage.
For example, she spoke with REUTERS, and this news agency published a short report with video reel at its website. Here is the screenshot of this report.
I will first read what REUTERS journalist relates from her interview. Natalia Usmanova felt her heart would stop. She was so terrified as Russian bombs rained down on Mariupol, sprinkling her with concrete dust. I feared that the bunker would not withstand it. I had terrible fear, Usmanova said.
Another quote. We didn't see the sun for so long, she said. She also recalled the lack of oxygen in the shelters and the fear that had gripped the lives of people hunkered down there. Usmanova said she joked with her husband on the bus that they would no longer have to go to the lavatory with a torch.
And the last quote. You just can't imagine what we have been through. The terror, Usmanova said. I lived there, worked there all my life. But what we saw there was just terrible.

Dear friends, what impression do you get from this coverage? I think that the conclusion is quite obvious: Natalia Usmanova was terrified, frightened by Russian strikes. She must be hating Russia for what it did to Ukraine, and thank God she is safe and now can go back to Ukraine. But reality is that Reuters heavily censored what she said, in fact.
Let's watch the remaining part of Natalia's account that was shown in full on Russian TV.
Friends, it's hard to comment on such a shameless manipulation. How will Western viewers learn the truth, especially when Russian TV channels are banned in your countries?
Who is spreading propaganda there? I think you can make a judgment by yourselves.
I really am very disappointed with REUTERS. I think this is the lowest standards of journalism. You are supposed to promote freedom of speech and access to information, but you chose the job of becoming soldiers of information war against Russia.
I also have to note that SPIEGEL magazine from Germany tried to publish extended version of interview with Natalia Usmanova. This reel was three minutes long. After several hours, they decided to delete it. I think that there are no doubts why they did it.

🔹Киевский режим продолжает демонстративно сближаться с группировками радикальных военизированных националистов, в т.ч. нацистских формирований, на счету которых сотни военных карательных вылазок в ДНР и ЛНР, а также акций устрашения на территории Украины

🔹При прямой поддержке Запада киевский режим 🇺🇦 продолжает системно нарушать международное гуманитарное право. Делается это с целью нанести урон гражданскому населению и «списать» всё на действия российских военных, очернить ВС 🪖🇷🇺России

🔹Режим в Киеве делает ставку на создание угроз для сопредельных государств, продолжение милитаризации, поддержку агрессивного национализма, отказывается от дипломатических контактов в целях урегулирования ситуации

🔹Действия киевского режима с 2014 г. показывают, что его представители желают поскорее избавиться от всего, что напоминает об освобождении 🇺🇦 Украины от нацистских захватчиков и победе советского народа над нацизмом во #ВторойМировойВойне

🔹На Украине идёт полномасштабная кампания по уничтожению памятников и иных свидетельств о борьбе с нацизмом, а также героизация на государственном уровне нацистских преступников

🔹Страны НАТО, продолжая опасную милитаризацию 🇺🇦Украины, используют ее территорию в качестве полигона для утилизации давно выработавших свой срок вооружений и боеприпасов

🔹Вашингтон не скрывает истинную цель своей политики на #Украина – руками украинских националистов нанести России «стратегическое поражение» в регионе, т.е. подорвать российскую государственность, воспрепятствовать устойчивому развитию России

🔹Ukrainian armed nationalistic battalions & Ukrainian Armed Forces on orders of Kiev continue to commit mass crimes against civilian population of DPR & LPR, in liberated cities in south-east of Ukraine and in territories occupied by Ukrainian military

🔹By joint humanitarian efforts of 🇷🇺Russia and #UN, with involvement of relevant NGOs, it was possible to convince Ukrainian side to allow civilians to safely leave the territory of Azovstal and nearby houses

🔹Calls to militants on territory of Azovstal to lay down their arms thus saving their lives are stubbornly ignored. Nationalists showed their true attitude towards civilian hostages, offering to exchange them for food and medicine

🔹Kiev regime continues to defiantly get closer to armed nationalists, incl. nationalistic formations, which account for hundreds of military punitive attacks in DPR and LPR, as well as acts of intimidation on territory of Ukraine

🔹With Western direct support 🇺🇦 Kiev regime continues to systematically violate intl humanitarian law. This is done in order to inflict damage on civilian population and attribute everything to actions of Russian military, to denigrate 🪖🇷🇺 Russian armed forces

🔹Kiev regime bets on creating threats for neighboring states, further militarization, support of aggressive nationalism, and refuses diplomatic contacts in order to resolve the situation

🔹Actions of Kiev regime since 2014 show that its representatives want to quickly get rid of everything that reminds of 🇺🇦 Ukraine liberation from Nazi invaders & victory of Soviet people over Nazism in #WorldWarII

🔹Full-scale campaign to monuments’ demolition and other evidence of the struggle against Nazism, as well as glorification of Nazi criminals at state level is underway in Ukraine

🔹NATO countries, continuing dangerous militarization of 🇺🇦Ukraine, use its territory as a testing ground for the disposal of weapons and ammunition that have long expired

⚡️ 6 мая 2022 г. в Берлине была предотвращена вероятная попытка осуществления террористического акта в отношении российских журналистов и членов их семей, проживающих на территории жилого комплекса, принадлежащего Российской Федерации.

◾️ Во второй половине дня окно одной из квартир дома было разбито брошенной со стороны улицы бутылкой. В ходе последовавшего осмотра участка был обнаружен спрятанный в нише дома подозрительный предмет, состоящий из крупной канистры, наполненной жидкостью, а также примотанных к ней скотчем пластиковой бутылки и газового баллона с подведенными проводами.

◾️ Прибывшие сотрудники германских правоохранительных органов срочно эвакуировали жильцов, оцепили комплекс и вызвали пожарную службу и саперов. Последние подтвердили, что предмет предположительно является самодельным взрывным устройством. В связи с опасностью его перемещения было принято решение о деактивации на месте. В результате операции никто не пострадал.

◾️ Полицией Берлина ведется расследование произошедшего. Посольство находится в контакте с правоохранительными органами. Российским журналистам и членам их семей предоставлена возможность переезда в безопасное место.

◾️ Посольство не исключает, что данный вопиющий акт может быть напрямую связан с развязанной в ФРГ атмосферой травли государственных российских СМИ, огульно обвиняемых в распространении дезинформации и пропаганды. Сведения и фотоматериалы о месте проживания российских журналистов и членов их семей, в адрес которых звучали и продолжают звучать угрозы, размещались в соцсетях и публиковалась в ведущих германских СМИ.

◾️ По факту инцидента Посольством направлена нота в МИД ФРГ с требованием провести расследование, установить виновных, обеспечить безопасность и нормальные условия работы российских журналистов.

❗️ 6 мая в Берлине произошло нападение на жилой дом, где проживают сотрудники корпунктов российских СМИ в Германии. Видим в этом прямое следствие развязанной на Западе травли российских СМИ и их сотрудников.

☝️ Требуем от властей ФРГ и других стран ЕС и НАТО незамедлительно принять меры по защите российских журналистов и членов семей, находящихся на их территории. Правительство Германии обязано провести тщательное расследование этого преступления.

Беспристрастную оценку этому вопиющему наступлению на основополагающие принципы демократии – свободу слова и безопасность журналистов – должны дать профильные структуры по защите прав журналистов ООН, ЮНЕСКО, а также ОБСЕ.

🔺High-ranking politicians make public Russophobic statements, organizers of music festivals, without even hiding their anti-Russian background, exclude works by Russian composers from their programs. Children's magazines are used for anti-Russian political propaganda
 
🔺Latvian authorities, who have been fine-tuning discriminatory practices infringing on the rights of the Russian-speaking population for decades, on the sly decided to complete the total "latvianization" of the education system

🔺The innovations imply the transition to the state language of instruction in kindergartens and some school classes as early as 2023. It is planned to completely exclude the Russian language from the education system by 2025

🔺The continuing wave of Russophobia, which manifests itself in various ugly forms, including in statements by top officials of some OSCE participating States, finally requires a principled assessment by the leadership of our Organization

🔺Высокопоставленные политики делают публичные русофобские высказывания, организаторы музыкальных фестивалей, даже не скрывая антироссийской подоплеки, исключают из программ произведения русских композиторов. Для антироссийской политпропаганды используются детские журналы

🔺Власти Латвии, десятилетиями оттачивавшие дискриминационные практики ущемления прав русскоязычного населения, решили «под шумок» завершить тотальную «латышизацию» системы образования

🔺Нововведения подразумевают переход на государственный язык обучения в детских садах и некоторых школьных классах уже с 2023 г. Полностью исключить русский язык из сиcтемы образования планируется к 2025 г.

📆 May 8 marks 55 years since the memorial architectural ensemble, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, was unveiled in the Alexander Garden by the walls of the Moscow Kremlin.

⭐️ The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a symbolic monument that pays tribute to soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War. The idea to erect the memorial was conceived in 1966 on the 25th anniversary of the Nazis’ defeat in the Battle of Moscow. Ashes of Soviet soldiers killed in action outside Zelenograd were buried in the Alexander Garden on December 3 of the same year.

📃 Presidential Executive Order of November 17, 2009 granted the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier the status of a National Memorial of Military Glory in order to preserve its historical cultural legacy for the peoples of the Russian Federation. It was included in the state register of especially valuable cultural heritage sites of the peoples of the Russian Federation.
