"Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of encrypted messaging company Telegram, was arrested around 8pm on Saturday evening as he stepped off his private jet on the tarmac at Le Bourget airport. The arrest was carried out by GTA (Gendarmerie of Air Transport) gendarmes.
The 39-year-old Franco-Russian was accompanied by his bodyguard and a woman. Registered in the FPR (Wanted Persons File), Pavel Durov arrived directly from Azerbaijan. The arrest took place on the basis of a French search warrant issued by the French police after a preliminary investigation."
