REDRESS SCOTLAND
This is a reading of a letter submitted to Redress Scotland & the Scottish Human Rights Commission, requesting an exceptional review of my late Father’s eligibility. A survivor of Smyllum Orphanage (1941–1952), he played a pivotal role in uncovering the records of over 400 children buried unceremoniously at St Mary’s Cemetery. Tragically, he passed away just days before the scheme’s eligibility date in 2004. This video shares some of his story and my appeal for recognition and justice. It will be part of an upcoming short film b Trisk Films.
