REDRESS SCOTLAND

This is a reading of a letter submitted to Redress Scotland & the Scottish Human Rights Commission, requesting an exceptional review of my late Father’s eligibility. A survivor of Smyllum Orphanage (1941–1952), he played a pivotal role in uncovering the records of over 400 children buried unceremoniously at St Mary’s Cemetery. Tragically, he passed away just days before the scheme’s eligibility date in 2004. This video shares some of his story and my appeal for recognition and justice. EMERGENCY OBJECTIONS NEEDED DEADLINE IS THIS COMING FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER 2025

2) Click "Comment" and then click "Register here" and register on the Glasgow Council Planning Portal remember your password.

3) For Stance click "Object" and then for "Your comment" paste in the following objection comment (the bit in bold):

I object. Mast is 20.2m tall adjacent to children's play area. 4 trees adjacent are 3-5m tall, 3 trees 8-10m tall. The mast will be too incongruous and overbearing. It will destroy the beautiful amenity of this lovely park used by hundreds. A more appropriate location should be found.

“Some exposure scenarios are outside the scope of these guidelines. Medical procedures utilize EMFs, and metallic implants may alter EMFs in the body, affecting the body directly (via interaction between field & tissue) and indirectly (via an intermediate conducting object). EMFs can cause harm by unintentionally interfering with active implantable medical devices or altering EMFs due to the presence of conductive implants.”

A 2024 English High Court Ruling means you must take into consideration the health effects on people with metal implants:

"The judgment said a council planning report did not deal with the health concerns in respect of a resident with metal medical devices or with the scope of the ICNIRP guidelines".


The authority accepts it gave no weight to the objections relating to health concerns because of the compliance with the ICNIRP guidelines.

Judge Jarman said the issue of potential health impacts on residents "raised by the objections was important and it was clear from case law the authority must have regard to all material considerations, It is a matter for the court as to what is a material consideration. The failure to grapple with potential impacts on medical implants was an error."

This must be refused on the basis of Appearance, Siting and the Health.

So, please forward this email to as many people as you know in Glasgow. Let's try and get well over 100 objections for each of the two 5G planning applications. The details for the second one will follow later in the week.
