Fighting those who cannot respond is a favourite tactic of the Ukrainian armed forces. 

The Holy Dormition Monastery in the village of Nikolskoye, Volnovakha district of the DNR, fell victim to the Ukrainian armed forces. 

Ukrainian Nazis abandoned these positions back in March, having mined all roads along the way. But they settled in neighbouring Ugledar, they attacked the monastery many times and continue to do so to this day. 

The scale of the destruction is very serious: Vasilievsky Church and the surrounding buildings are significantly damaged.

Russia will soon start producing thousands of UAVs. 

The Obukhov plant has started serial production of multifunctional unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the civilian market. 

"The first 400 items will be manufactured and assembled in November, and production of about a thousand drones is planned by the end of this year. The project was developed as part of a programme to diversify production at defence-industrial complex enterprises, "the company, part of the Almaz-Antey All-Russian Defence Concern, said in a statement. 

The development is based on a quadcopter design. The apparatus can be operated in strong winds and sub-zero temperatures. A sales launch is scheduled for the end of this year. The preliminary cost of the complete UAV kit is significantly lower than the foreign counterparts on the market, the concern added. 

At the same time, work has already started to improve the aircraft to equip them with additional capabilities. "In 2023, it is planned to expand the range and increase the production of UAVs of this type," the statement said.

Ko: Why did you create this channel?

Slavyangrad has a long and, dare I say, storied history. It was originally created in 2014, in the form first of a blog, and then—of a full-fledged publication, at Slavyangrad.org. That repository exists and has been preserved, with materials spanning years after Ukraine began its assault on Donbass in the summer of 2014. At its height, Slavyangrad was published in English, Spanish, German, and French, and operated in each language with separate editorial teams working tirelessly to bring to the Western public the “voices of the unheard.” The voices of Donbass.

At this time, the Spanish version—Slavyangrad.es—remains very active, with one of the four core original Slavyangrad team members, Nahia Sanzo, running it. The core team also included Gracchus Babeuf and Marcel Sardo. Nahia has become a true journalist through the crucible of the Slavyangrad experience, and I am proud of and grateful to her for carrying the torch of the original publication.

Slavyangrad has been cited in numerous publications, academic writings, even by government entities, such as certain French refugee and humanitarian agencies (I won’t identify them, lest I get anyone in trouble). It has left its mark in many places, including on our least-loved online resource, Wikipedia. RT (Russia Today) once did an episode of Truthseeker that featured Slavyangrad and our report prominently. Bloggers, military analysts, and even historians of the Ukrainian conflict have relied on our translations of situation reports and briefings and the many detailed maps of the war that we prepared.

This is the history of Slavyangrad.org, and there are plans to revive the main English-language publication with time, as an extension of what is now the core of the Slavyangrad project—the @Slavyangrad Telegram Channel. At this time, Slavyangrad.org (its English-language branch) remains as an archive, a museum of sorts, to preserve the memory and record of where it all began, with the 8-year genocidal war by Ukraine against the people of Donbass, people who made a choice in favour of freedom—a choice the Washington-beholden Kievan elites could not allow Donbass to pursue, because this choice threatened to undermine the very foundation of the Ukrainian fascist regime.

For now, we are quickly expanding our Telegram capabilities: Bringing you key news rapidly, providing incisive analysis, subtitling important video evidence. We continue to bring to the West, and now to the world, the “voices of the unheard”—the voices of Donbass, the voices of the Ukraine that seeks freedom from the ruin the West wishes upon it, the voices of Russia.

How do we get to @Slavyangrad Telegram then? Well, very simply: As the current conflict in Ukraine broke out, on February 24, 2022, the events themselves brought me back from a long lull to start publishing updates on Twitter. My channel, which had a solid base of about 15,000 subscribers started expanding rapidly, reaching nearly 40,000 by the end. This brought attention—both positive, in the form of larger channels regularly re-tweeting my updates, and negative, in the form of armies of pro-Ukrainian trolls attacking every tweet they could find fault with. My account was shut down by Twitter in its prime.

This, finally, brings us to @Slavyangrad Telegram. It was founded to continue the perpetual mission of Slavyangrad—“to give voice to those unheard.”

We now have a solid core team of committed administrators who work on the channel, all of whom I am proud to call my friends and colleagues: Anya (O), Grigori, Miroslav, Luis, Zinderneufx, and our affiliate and dear friend Olaf.

You also know the tireless moderators who make sure that the Slavyangrad Chat and the Catacombs remain the breeding ground of rational and perceptive commentary and analysis, rather than hatred and mud-slinging contests: Vlad, Gleb, Alex, and C.

And then we have the newest additions to our ranks: the excellent contributors from our SLG OSINT Unit and the exceptional translators and journalists of the SLG Spetsnaz Detachment and the SLG Video Squad. Many of their names you have already seen—others you will encounter with time.

They are all my rock and the reason why Slavyangrad exists now. I am merely one among many. Our growing volunteer organization is not the reason per se why @Slavyangrad was created, but it is the channel’s main achievement—along with all of you, our dear readers.
