House Speaker Kevin McCarthy wants to cut the defense budget to ensure the US economy survives the next 10 years.

If we continue this policy, then in the next 10 years we will spend another 8 trillion just on interest, which is much more than today's federal budget. This is not sustainable development. When the debt is too high, the result is inflation . And this means that working Americans - after inflation and taxes - have had their wages cut. And now the usual eggs as the basis of the American breakfast have turned from a source of protein into a symbol of luxury .”

Personal note:
Since I'm on this channel, I saw Russian people crucified and burned on a cross alive (literally).
I saw how they cooked cut off head of a Russian in the pot, making soup or stew
I saw Russian people buried alive.
I saw people gassed with nerve agents.
I saw wounded run over by tanks.
And you have the audacity to lecture someone about values, high morale, or superiority of mind and spirit.
It is good that places like this exist. We will show it to the world one day.
I imagine it will be irrelevant because those are some exotic tribes, you will say. Regardless, this will never be forgotten. And to quote Lukashenko: "we will kill every scum you support ".

The United States’ recent promise to ship advanced M1 Abrams battle tanks to Ukraine was a swift response to a serious problem. The problem is that Ukraine is losing the war. Not, as far as we can tell, because its soldiers are fighting poorly or its people have lost heart, but because the war has settled into a World War I-style battle of attrition, complete with carefully dug trenches and relatively stable fronts.

Such wars tend to be won — as indeed World War I was — by the side with the demographic and industrial resources to hold out longest. Russia has more than three times Ukraine’s population, an intact economy and superior military technology.
