The enterprise is going to realize "ambitious plans" to develop a line of large civilian trucks of high cross-country ability, replacing the brands that left the Russian Federation - Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Iveco, MAN, Scania, DAF, Renault. As noted at the Obukhov plant, the new BAZ will not be inferior to the well-known European brands in such key qualities as cross-country ability, load capacity, comfort, reliability, and at the same time will "favorably differ" from foreign counterparts in terms of cost. According to experts, Western sanctions served as a stimulus for the development of the Bryansk Automobile Plant.
