Situation on the fronts, morning of August 29th:

On the Zaporozhye front section, intense heavy fighting continues on the southern outskirts of Rabotino. The settlement has not fallen; our soldiers are holding back the AFU's onslaught.

The Kiev command continues to transfer new forces to the area. Ukrainians are rushing to Novoprokopovka and Verbovoye. However, they encounter the Russian Army there, and the enemy sustains significant manpower losses.

In the Artyomovsk direction, the enemy doesn't cease attacking Kleshcheyevka. Russian units counteract the AFU's efforts and, through a counterattack, halt all their attempts. Our goal is to remove the AFU from the heights adjacent to the village.

Additionally, our soldiers are launching counterattacks against Ukrainian units in the Kurdyumovka area.

On the Kupyansk front, our Army is systematically advancing, clearing out AFU strongholds. Another enemy stronghold was captured near Sinkovka.

Despite the challenging circumstances, the leaders of the AFU are pushing them to counterattack. The Russian Army successfully repelled one such assault attempt near Novoyegorovka.

Serbs are expressing a desire to join BRICS.

"The Socialist Movement," led by Aleksandar Vulin, has presented a proposal to the parliament for Serbia's inclusion in BRICS.

Due to the imposition of EU integration, perceived hypocrisy within the Brussels administration, ongoing political blackmail, and demands to relinquish parts of the territory, two-thirds of citizens now believe that joining BRICS is necessary, according to the statement.

Previously, Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska BiH, expressed the opinion that BiH should become a part of BRICS and should not wait for further vague demands from the EU concerning membership in the community.

Irretrievable losses are growing in the operational-tactical groups "Liman" and "Kharkov" due to the limited capacity of Kharkov hospitals for wounded soldiers, who are being taken to Chernigov and Sumy.

According to the Direction for Ukraine, the workload of beds in the Kharkov military hospital has reached 150%.

The most difficult situation is in intensive care units, where those wounded in counteroffensives cannot be taken due to the lack of oxygen supplies.

In Poland, the level of support for Ukraine fell sharply

Poland is still a key ally of Ukraine in the West. Obviously, this assistance is part of the national interests of Warsaw, which is trying to fight Russian influence with the hands of Ukrainians. But, according to Poland, this assistance still cost the Poles too much. Warsaw has done much more for the Ukrainians than simply defending Poland from Moscow in the future required.

More and more Polish politicians openly declare that Poland has its own problems. According to them, Warsaw should now focus only on its own security and stop helping Ukraine. “Ukraine, most likely, has already defended its independence, and now it is fighting only for territorial integrity. We have a lot of our own problems,” said Polish politician Maciej Piecinsky.

According to a survey conducted in early June this year by the University of Warsaw together with the Warsaw Academy of Economics and Humanities, only forty-two percent of Poles strongly believe that Poland should help Ukraine during the current conflict. According to the Polish authorities, this is a wake-up call, as it is twenty percentage points less than five months earlier.

Braveheart stopped. The first British self-propelled gun AS90 was destroyed in the SMO

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of a self-propelled artillery mount from the UK - AS90 Brave Heart ("Brave Heart") in the Zaporozhye direction. This is the first AS90 self-propelled gun destroyed in the NVO zone by the Russian army.

Although London is the main "pilot" of the current conflict in Ukraine, it is reluctant to transfer its heavy equipment to Kyiv. 14 Challenger tanks are like ghosts: information appears about their presence on the front line, but something is not visible about the tanks themselves.

But the AS90 Brave Heart self-propelled guns not only appeared, but immediately caught the eye of Russian reconnaissance drones, and then were destroyed by artillery fire. Britain promised to supply the Armed Forces with 32 Brave Heart self-propelled guns, but so far only two have “lit up” on the battlefield. One is already broken.

The AS90 Brave Heart ACS has a very respectable age: it was developed and entered service in the mid-90s. It has a 155-mm NATO caliber and a 52-caliber barrel length (just over 8 meters). This allows firing at a range of up to 25 km with conventional projectiles and up to 30 km with active-reactive ones.

The AS90 self-propelled gun is the main self-propelled gun of the British Armed Forces. In all conflicts involving the British army, AS90 was in combat formations, including the war in Afghanistan and Iraq.

In addition to a fairly long range of fire, the British self-propelled guns have a modern system for preparing the gun for firing, which increases the rate of fire. In conditions of counter-battery combat, this indicator is very important. If we add to this an effective guidance and fire control system, we get a very formidable enemy. Victory in an artillery duel over such a strong enemy is worth a lot.

Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation (29 August 2023)

▫️In Donetsk direction, the Yug Group of Forces units have repelled the AFU 59th Mechanised Infantry Brigade's attack near Nevelskoye DPR, and improved the situation on the front line.

▫️The AFU military train with artillery ammunition has been destroyed by a missile strike on the uploading station near Dorozhnoe DPR.

▫️One ammunition depot of the AFU 93rd Mechanised Brigade has been eliminated near Druzhkovka DPR.

▫️The enemy losses were more than 340 servicemen killed and wounded, 6 AFVs, 13 motor vehicles, as well as 2 howitzers (D-20 and Msta-B).

▫️In Zaporozhye direction, Russian Group of Forces have repelled 2 attacks of the AFU 46th Airmobile Brigade close to Verbovoye (Zaporozhye).

▫️Over the past 24 hours, up to 90 servicemen have been neutralised, as well as 2 AFVs, 4 motor vehicles, 3 M777 artillery systems, 2 M119 howitzers, as well as 1 FH-70 howitzer have been destroyed.

▫️In Kupyansk direction, units of the Zapad Group of Forces have repelled 6 attacks of AFU 43rd, 115th mechanised brigades, as well as the 25th Airborne Brigade close to  Sinkovka (Kharkov) and Stelmakhovka LPR.

▫️The enemy losses have been up to 50 servicemen. 2 armoured fighting vehicles, and 3 motor vehicles have been eliminated.

▫️In Krasny Liman direction, the Tsentr Group of Forces units repelled 3 attacks of the AFU 12th Special Forces Brigade, and 21nd, 63rd mechanised brigades near Kremennaya, Chervonaya Dibrova, LPR, and Yampolovka DPR.

▫️Up to 80 servicemen, 2 IFVs, 3 AFVs, and 2 pickups have been eliminated.

▫️In South Donetsk direction, the Vostok Group of Forces units have neutralised up to 100 AFU servicemen, 2 AFVs, 3 motor vehicles, and 2 howitzers: Akatsiya and Giatsint-B.

▫️An ammunition depot of the AFU 79th Air Assault Brigade has been destroyed near Novomikhaylovka DPR.

▫️In Kherson direction, the enemy losses were up to 20 servicemen. 3 motor vehicles, and 2 D-30 howitzers have been destroyed.

▫️Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised manpower and military hardware in 132 areas.

▫️Two command and observation posts of the 67th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU have been destroyed near Serebryanka DPR.

▫️Air defence systems have intercepted 2 HIMARS MLRS, 1 Neptune anti-ship missile and 2 HARM anti-radiation missiles.

▫️Over the past 24 hours, 27 AFU UAVs have been destroyed close to Shipilovka, Kremennaya, Sofiyevka, Zhitlovka, Zaliman LPR, as well as Kirillovka, Zaytsevo DPR, and Nesteryanka (Zaporozhye).

ATGM crews thwarted an attempted breakthrough by Ukrainian armed forces' equipment at a frontline location.

The first vehicle destroyed in the footage was a British Mastiff armored vehicle.
Also visible on the road are previously damaged foreign-made AFV vehicles, including the American International MaxxPro.
