Ukrainian forces are beginning to become concerned about potential ammunition shortages amid a lack of action by Congress to approve additional security assistance, White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said on Wednesday.
Kirby added that Ukrainian forces are also assessing the availability of their longer range systems that they are using on the battlefield.
In December, the Biden administration ran out of funding to provide security assistance to Ukraine and Congress has yet to approve more funding.
Congress has been involved in a weeks-long debacle over the bipartisan deal reached on a national security supplemental package that includes some $60 billion for Ukraine.

"Battlefield commanders are making some really tough decisions right now," Kirby told reporters. "We know that in some units they are marshalling their ammunition very, very closely because they're beginning to get worried about running out."

Ukraine does not need supplies of UAVs, since they produce them themselves - Josep Borrell during a visit to Kiev
“They don't need drones. I visited several production facilities and was very surprised by the capabilities of your engineers to create companies producing high-quality drones,” Borrell answered a question from journalists.
At the same time, the representative of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ignat, did not agree with Borrell in terms of the “uselessness” of UAV supplies.
“You can never have too many drones, and any help from partners will be useful for our armed forces,” Ignat said.
The Turkish company Baykar (according to media reports) has already begun construction of a UAV production plant near Kiev.
Note: nice try, Borrell!

The Senate rejects the $118 billion 'border bill' that gave $60 billion to Ukraine failed to advance in a 49-50 vote. It should be noted that this was even been brought to the floor of the Congress. It is likely this was a political stunt to get votes on record in an attempt to blame the Republicans for the border crisis.
The Senate will attempt to move forward with a new bill that removes immigration but contains:
Republicans want the border issue settled first and are unlikely to give away their leverage.

$
60bn for Ukraine, $14.1bn in security assistance for Israel and $9.15bn for humanitarian purposes.
Another $2.44bn has been slated to support US operations in the Red Sea, and $4.83bn has been allocated to support US allies in the Pacific "and deter aggression by the Chinese government".

Avdeevka: there are reports of intense fighting for the motor depot
Assault units of the Russian Armed Forces are enlarging the bridgehead in the vicinity of the railway bridge. The capture of the motor depot by the Russian Armed Forces will effectively sever the southern part of the city.
Under these circumstances, Ukrainian units in the southern part of the city are faced with a grim choice: either a bloody attempt to break through towards the coke plant or across open terrain through the fields on the western outskirts.

As you can see, the team is still hard at work behind the scenes 😁
Thank you everyone for your patience during our downtime.
We have been reviewing our internal processes and for the moment I'm handling the scheduling while we continue the review.
The team is still hard at work behind the scenes finding news and creating content. Those with a keen eye will still be able to recognise which team member has written each post 😉
Our other policies remain the same, especially our policy to never monetize.
At most we will do cross promotions or forward posts from our friends and channels we like, but we will never accept money or gifts in return.
We will all continue to do this voluntarily and out of love.
Thank you again for your patience and your continued support.

@infantmilitario writes:
Russia has initiated the use of an electronic warfare system near Avdeevka that intercepts Starlink signals, a tactic it had previously attempted several times in the Zaporozhye region. Access to Starlink has been disrupted throughout entire Avdeevka.
Orders and intelligence from NATO to the Ukrainian central command are typically transmitted to underground control centers in Avdeevka via Starlink and then relayed to the fortifications through old-style wired telephone lines.
With Starlink disabled, orders and intelligence would either need to be relayed by messengers over a distance of 20 km or transmitted using NATO communication systems, which could be instantly monitored by Russia. Mobile internet and applications may also be subject to interception. Such a development would severely undermine Ukraine’s command and control structure.
Russia has implemented a similar system in the Orekhov area, where it discovered and destroyed numerous headquarters and control posts by intercepting Starlink signals.
Today, along the Avdeevka line, at least 70, and possibly up to 100, airstrikes were carried out with glide bombs weighing between 500 and 1500 kilograms. This sudden escalation could also be attributed to the use of large-caliber bombs and bunker busters against underground command centers via Starlink network traffic.
Thus, both Starlink transmitters, satellite signal flow, command infrastructure, and closed telephone lines can be neutralized through the simultaneous use of thermobaric and concrete-piercing bombs.
In Avdeevka, Russia is employing a scaled-down version of the complex tactics it plans to utilize in the future. Bakhmut was the first attempt, Kharkov Oskol was the second attempt, halting the Ukrainian counterattack in the Zaporozhye region was the third attempt, and Avdeevka represents the fourth attempt.
The fifth attempt will be much larger and deadlier. The Russian Armed Forces have practiced light infantry attacks and coordinated artillery and air support respectively in the first case, resumed mechanized attacks and joint warfare tactics in the second, tested defensive and counterattack organizational structures and various UAV and electronic technologies in the third. The next stage will combine all of these elements, creating a comprehensive and significantly more challenging scenario.
