📍 A Maryland judge has ruled that a district map drawn up by the state's General Assembly is an unconstitutional gerrymander that unfairly favours Democrats.

▪️ In a 94-page ruling, Judge Lynne Battaglia ordered the Democratic-controlled state legislature to try again to draw a new congressional district map by 30 March.

▪️ She claimed that the current document supports the argument that "the voice of Republican voters was diluted and their right to vote and be heard with the efficacy of a Democratic voter was diminished".

☺️ Centenary University will offer the world's first master's degree programme in "Happiness Studies", said its President Bruce Murphy.

👏 Approved by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, Murphy said he feels positive about the programme "designed to promote well-being and resilience in the midst of current world stress".

🤑 Centenary University's programme will "explore the implications of happiness for individuals, the workplace, and our broader society", according to the college's announcement. It's set to launch virtually in the fall and will cost students $17,700.

"We cannot ignore the fact that Britain ran roughshod over India for years," said the 66-year-old. "Let us not forget, when we talk about what needs to happen, all the folks that need to apologize."

"Listen, this is not new," the actress continued. "I suspect Charles, when he was in Barbados [in 2021] had some idea because he went on and apologized as he was releasing the hold that Britain has. So perhaps somebody is listening, and it’s the new group of folks – I don’t know if it’s Charles, William, but one of them is supposed to be the person."

🥁🥁Taylor Hawkins has died at the age of 50 in Colombia after suffering chest pains at his hotel, authorities say.

On Saturday, the District Secretary of Health in Colombia confirmed in a press release that the drummer, 50, died in the town of Chapinero after suffering chest pains at his hotel.

"The District Secretary of Health mourns the death of this talented musician and drummer, widely recognized internationally for his work. In addition, the entity sends its message of condolences to the family, colleagues, and followers," the release concludes.

Hawkins' bandmates announced his death on Friday night.

"The Foo Fighters Family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever," a statement shared on the band's social media accounts reads.
