🇺🇸/🇷🇺 US President Joe Biden will discuss his upcoming summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin with NATO allies.
🔎 “He’ll have the opportunity to speak to all of the Allies about what he intends to talk to Putin about. He’ll do that behind closed doors,” National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said.
According to White House spokesperson Jen Psaki, Biden “certainly knows what to expect” from Putin.
🔎 “... this is not a meeting about trust, it’s not a meeting about friendship — it’s a meeting about figuring out where we can find common ground, and also being straightforward and candid about areas where we have concern,” Psaki told reporters aboard Air Force One.

#BREAKING | Putin dismisses 'absurd' claims of Russia's role in cyberattacks against US in NBC interview
US claims of Russian hackers or the Russian government of being behind cyberattacks in the United States are absurd, Russian President Vladimir Putin told NBC in a wide-ranging interview on Monday.
A series of high-profile cyberattacks have hit US facilities over the past few months, including a ransomware attack against a major gas pipeline and a meat-producing giant.
Washington has accused hackers operating in Russia as being behind both attacks.

🤔 Billionaires are bad — except when they finance my election campaign. Right?
A candidate to be mayor of New York City, Maya Wiley, who has warned residents that the Big Apple could turn into a city built by and for billionaires, has received a donation of $500,000 from none other than that billionaire George Soros, the New York Post reported.
A spokesman for Soros confirmed to the newspaper that the donation had been made.
The generous contribution, however, has not appeared on the website of the New York City Campaign Finance Board — an agency which allows New Yorkers to monitor the flow of finances in local politics.
When asked about the possible hypocrisy of her campaign, Wiley said she can’t "comment on independent expenditure" because she has "no control over it".
