Briefing of Russian Ministry of Defence on the operation in Ukraine:

▪Russian aviation hit 74 Ukrainian objects during the day, including 2 command posts, 20 areas of concentration of enemy forces and equipment, and 2 depots of rocket and artillery weapons

▪Missile troops and artillery hit 223 areas of concentration of forces and equipment, destroyed 3 command posts, 2 ammunition depots, and more than 100 neo-Nazis

▪Russian air defence systems shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft in the area of Shirokoe (Dnepropetrovsk region) and an Mi-8 helicopter in the area of Novodmitrovka (Kherson region)

▪4 Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the LPR, the Dnepropetrovsk region, and the Kharkov region

🖼 Warhol’s ‘Marilyn’ auction nabs $195M

Andy Warhol’s “Shot Sage Blue Marilyn” sold for a cool $195 million on Monday, making the iconic portrait of Marilyn Monroe the most expensive work by a US artist ever sold at auction.

It’s also the most expensive piece from the 20th century ever auctioned, according to Christie’s auction house in New York, where the sale took place.

The proceeds of the sale will go to the Thomas and Doris Ammann Foundation Zurich, which put the painting up for auction. The foundation aims to help children with health care and educational programs.
