When Hunter allegedly tried to pay the girl for her services, about $8,000, his first attempts to transfer the required amount were unsuccessful and he tried another card before it finally worked. However, shortly thereafter, the transactions he believed failed were actually completed, and about $25,000 left his accounts in less than an hour.
