❗️Putin has made additional statements at the SPIEF:
▪️ In 2014, the US should have called for elections in Ukraine instead of supporting the coup;
▪️Washington began to create an anti-Russian foothold out of Ukraine. He wondered how the American side would react if Russia were to create an anti-US foothold near its borders, and stressed that Moscow had even removed its military base from Cuba to defuse tensions;
▪️ Russia will respect any choice of the residents of the liberated territories in Ukraine: only they will decide their own fate;
▪️ Russia does not threaten anyone with nuclear weapons;
▪️ Warfare is always a tragedy, but this is a forced measure: Russia was pushed to start the op;
▪️ Ukrainian attacks on residential areas in Donetsk are a crime against humanity;
▪️ Storming Ukrainian fortified areas in Donetsk from where they hit residential areas has no purpose;
▪️ Russia will support the Donbass people.
