🏆🏀The Golden State Warriors are the 2022 NBA champions, Stephen Curry has his long-awaited Finals MVP award, and the Warriors' big three of Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green tallied noscript No. 4.
This latest noscript comes after a two-year interregnum during which the Warriors scarcely resembled the juggernaut that ran through the league from 2015 through 2019.
The championship is the Warriors' fourth in the past eight seasons and solidifies their status as an NBA dynasty. They were led by their core trio of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson. The three have lost one playoff series when fully healthy since 2015, a loss in the 2016 NBA Finals to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

🌊🌨 Montana's Republican governor, Greg Gianforte, is under fire for vacationing while punishing floods hit Yellowstone National Park and communities on its fringes this week.
Gianforte was not only not in Montana, he wasn't in the U.S. at all. He was in Italy, but his office didn't tell his constituents for days. It wasn't until Wednesday, 48 hours after the flooding occurred that his office publicly stated that he was out of the country. They said they couldn't release where he was exactly due to unspecified security concerns.
Now Gianforte is back in Montana and facing scrutiny for not hurrying home more quickly and for keeping the public in the dark as to his whereabouts.

🎙🔎The British government on Friday ordered the extradition of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to the United States to face spying charges, a milestone — but not the end — of a decade-long legal saga sparked by his website’s publication of classified U.S. documents.
WikiLeaks said it would challenge the order, and Assange’s lawyers have 14 days to lodge an appeal. “We’re not at the end of the road here,” said Assange’s wife, Stella Assange. “We’re going to fight this.”
Julian Assange has battled in British courts for years to avoid being sent to the U.S., where he faces 17 charges of espionage and one charge of computer misuse. American prosecutors say the Australian citizen helped U.S. Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning steal classified diplomatic cables and military files that WikiLeaks later published, putting lives at risk.

🧐The Iowa Supreme Court on Friday cleared the way for lawmakers to severely limit or ban abortion in the state, reversing a decision by the court just four years ago that guaranteed the right to abortion under the Iowa Constitution.
Friday’s ruling comes amid expectations that the U.S. Supreme Court will overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion nationwide. If that happens, Iowa lawmakers could ban abortion without completing the lengthy process of amending the state constitution.
The Iowa decision stemmed from a lawsuit filed by abortion providers who challenged a 2020 law that required a 24-hour waiting period before a woman could get an abortion. A judge struck down the law citing the state high court’s 2018 ruling. The judge also concluded that the law violated rules prohibiting the passage of bills with more than one subject.

📲📡The Federal Aviation Administration says it expects AT&T and Verizon to be able to more or less fully roll out their 5G C-band networks by July 2023, after multiple delays due to concerns about the radio waves affecting vital safety equipment on planes.
The plan, which the FAA says is the result of collaboration between regulators, carriers, and the aviation industry, will allow carriers to turn on their equipment in “carefully considered phases” as airlines work to retrofit their planes with equipment that will mitigate any potential interference from cellular signals.
There are still a few questions up in the air: the FAA’s statement doesn’t make it clear who’s paying for equipment to be retrofitted onto the planes or which areas will be the first (and last) to get the C-band rollout.
