"Sorry the Constitution happened to you": Twitterians slam Governor Kathy Hochul after she blasts ‘outrageous' SCOTUS ruling on NY gun law
After the Supreme Court struck down a New York gun law on Thursday, Hochul claimed that the Supreme Court "has stripped away the State of New York’s right and responsibility to protect its citizens." She added that the decision is "frightful in its scope" and "sending us backwards in our efforts to protect families and prevent gun violence."
Her speech didn't take long to go viral, with many conservative twitterians accusing her of wanting to leave the US victimized. Others also defended the ruling, claiming it protects their right to self-defense, given that "not everyone can afford private security like Hochul."
