🎥 "Burn it down": Pro-choice protesters in Washington DC burn US flags after Roe v. Wade ruling.

One sign next to the burning flag read "F**k MPD" and another "F**k you Thomas, Alito, Coney Barrett, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, Roberts."

A wave of fear and outrage has been set off across the US after the conservative majority in the Supreme Court overturned the precedent established in the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that protected women's constitutional right to an abortion.

🎥 Law enforcement officers in Phoenix, Arizona used tear gas to break up a sizable group of protesters outside the State Senate following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade abortion ruling.

"Protesters threatened to break the AZ Senate entryway glass," Republican state Senator Wendy Rogers tweeted. Members were in the middle of voting on a series of bills.

The situation escalated into a "hostage" scenario as lawmakers were instructed not to exit the building, Republican state Senator Kelly Townsend added.

The Republican caucus of the State Senate later called the protest an attempted "insurrection."

“I ended her life”: Brian Laundrie admitted to killing Gabby Petito in his notebook left in the Florida swamp where he committed suicide.

“I thought it was merciful, that it is what she wanted, but I see now all the mistakes I made. I panicked. I was in shock," he proclaimed in the note, which was recovered by the FBI in October, according to Fox News.

Gabby Petito, a 22-year-old from Long Island, went missing on a road trip with her boyfriend Brian Laundrie and was found strangled to death in a camping site near the Grand Tetons on September 19. Laundrie disappeared following her death, leading police on a nationwide manhunt. His remains were later found in the Florida reserve.

A spokesman for the police force said that the first investigations revealed a single person likely committed the criminal act and added that two weapons were seized at the scene of the incident.

Among the 14 injured, eight were taken to the hospital, while the others were treated on the spot by medical services. "Some were described as seriously wounded, others as lightly wounded," the police source said.

The Pentagon has awarded an 18-year-long contract worth $12 billion to the UK-based defense company BAE Systems. The agreement sees BAE "supporting and augmenting" Washington's Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon systems, as well as providing "professional services" related to their operations. It expires in December 2040.

The US Department of Defense did not elaborate further on the nature of the BAE Systems' work on the ICBMs, which can deliver nuclear warheads. However, the Pentagon noted that most of the results would be carried out at the US Air Force Nuclear Weapon Center in Hill Air Force Base, Utah.

This is one of the biggest contracts allocated by the Pentagon this year amid a slashed defense budget. At the same time, the Biden administration called for increasing investments in the Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent, namely ICBMs, and the overall nuclear weapons budget contracted by $813 billion for 2023.
