🇧🇷 Brazil’s president has announced that if he loses the election, he will leave politics
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has stated that if he loses the October election, he will leave politics, a possibility that he has never considered before.
Until now, Bolsonaro had never spoken openly about the possibility of accepting an electoral defeat, even saying that "only God" would remove him from the presidency.

📸 Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has published a photo to his official Telegram page posing with a trooper sporting an SS-Totenkopf badge
▪️The Totenkopf badge (‘lit. dead person’s head’) made infamous after being taken up by Nazis, who used it extensively among military units, including the 3rd SS Panzer Division Totenkopf, and the SS-Totenkopfverbande – the organization which administered death camps and carried out some of the Nazis’ most heinous crimes;
❗This photo isn’t the first time Zelensky has been spotted surrounding himself with Totenkopf imagery. On May 9, when people across Russia and the rest of the former Soviet Union celebrate Victory Day, he posted a photo of a Ukrainian artilleryman with a skull and crossbones patch featured prominently on his chest

🔹A California resident with a weakened immune system has died from monkeypox, marking the first US fatality from the virus.
The Los Angeles County patient was "severely immunocompromised" and "had been hospitalized," the Los Angeles Public Health Department said in a statement Monday. The death was confirmed by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the statement added. No further information on the patient was released due to privacy concerns.
"Those with severe immunocompromise are less able to control the viral spread and are susceptible to mortality from the infection," Dr. Monica Gandhi, an infectious disease expert with the University of California San Francisco, told media reports.

💃Cardi B has donated $100,000 to her old middle school in the Bronx as part of a series of visits organized by New York’s Community Capacity Development group, just days after voicing outrage over how rising inflation was making it increasingly difficult for working-class Americans to find and keep housing.
Last Friday, the rapper surprised students in the Bronx’s Morris Heights neighborhood and explained how proud she was of the area where she grew up.
“Cardi B’s commitment of $100K for the arts will help the school’s kids soar to their highest heights,” New York City Schools chancellor David Banks said after her visit.
