A California bakery has created a two-meter Han Solo out of bread dough with a painstaking amount of detail. His expression of agony, with his hands reaching out in desperation, is part of the display outside the One House Bakery in Bernicia, California.

The mother and daughter duo behind the creation called him “Pan Solo.” The two bakers describe themselves as science-fiction nerds, who apparently went above and beyond when it comes to this installation. The daughter served as a model for the body, which was placed on plywood and then layered with dough.

🇺🇸 Ithaca College in New York has been slammed for segregating faculty and staff by "racial affinity groups," having them meet on different days throughout the year-long course

The "Antiracism Institute" is an optional weekly event, taking place during the 2022-2023 academic year. Faculty and staff members are given the option to attend Monday sessions for those "who identify as people of color" or Thursday sessions for "faculty and staff who identify as white."

Many on social media have called the approach “backwards” and antithetical to defeating racism.

Parents pressured officials to remove books featuring “LGBTQ+ themes or prominent characters” as it promotes “mental health issues and self-harm.” Among the disputed books is This Book Is Gay, a nonfiction bestseller on sexuality and gender.

"Parents are fed up — and in Dearborn they aren't allowing this nonsense to go on any longer," said Republican gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon. "Schools need to stop teaching radical sex and gender theories behind parents' backs and instead get back to the basics of teaching reading, writing and math."

The previous meeting on the same topic descended into chaos and was cut short by the school board. Police had to disperse the crowd, according to reports.

🇮🇱 Donald Trump said on Sunday that he “could easily be” the PM of Israel.

“No President has done more for Israel than I have," the former US president wrote on his Truth Social account.

Trump’s presidency was known for controversial moves such as the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in 2017 and the relocation of US Embassy to the city the following year. In 2019, Trump officially recognized Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Golan Heights, seized from Syria in 1967, in a move hailed as "historic" by Benjamin Netanyahu.

One of the former president’s accomplishments was the Abraham Accords. As part of the deal, both the UAE and Bahrain recognized Israel, enabling the establishment of full diplomatic relations with the purpose of resolving the Arab-Israeli conflict.
